Elara's POV

"What do you mean Elora is gone?!"

I woke up hearing my father's booming voice. I stepped out of my room not minding my puffy eyes and looking like a complete mess. I need to find out what is happening.

"What is happening here Dad?" I bravely asked even though I can already feel the beating of my heart on my throat. I have a feeling that this is connected to what happened last night and my father still looks unaware about the mess that I made.

"Your sister is missing Elara, did she tell you anything?"

I felt a huge lump on my throat. My heart beating so loud on my chest. I can feel my fear eating me up.

I bit my lower lip and slowly shook my head.

"I-I don't know anything Dad," I responded my voice shaking because of fear.

The way my father looks at me tells me that he is not convince and that made me feel even more scared but after a while he took a deep breath and shifted his gaze to Maximus, his Beta who was standing beside him waiting for his order.

"Call Alpha Gideon. Tell him that I need to see him as soon as possible. Maybe he knows where Elara went,"

Maximus obediently nod his head before excusing himself.

When he was gone Dad sit on the couch as if he already lost all his strength because of strength while I stood in front of him cautious to make any movement afraid that it might reveal the dark secret I was keeping.

"Elara is not like this. She won't just simply disappear. She looks happy last night. Everything was perfect last night so why is she gone now?"

Dad lifts his head and looked at me directly in the eyes tripling the fear that I am feeling. "Are you sure you don't know anything Elara?"

I bit my lower lip even harder. I can already feel blood on my mouth.

I slowly shook my head and started playing with my finger losing all my courage to look at my father's eyes.

After a while I heard him standing up and headed towards his office, probably that is where he would wait for Alpha Gideon while I remain on the living room sitting on the couch trying to figure out where Elora could be.

I stayed in the living room for an hour and before I could even leave I already saw Alpha Gideon walking towards my direction. He stood in front of me, towering me.

"Are you happy now Elara?" he coldly asked looking at me intently.

"I know you would not believe me but I did not plan any of this. I do not want Elora to disappear. I don't want any of this to happen,"

A sarcastic laugh escaped his lips. He would not believe me. He refuse to believe in any words that I utter. He was blinded by anger.

"Do you think you can fool me Elara? You plan all of this. You intentionally went to Elora's room. You plan all of this!" he was whispering so I am the only one who can hear him but even though he was not shouting at me I can feel his rage swallowing me like a wildfire.

The tears that I had been supressing fell uncontrollably from my eyes. He looks scary like any moment he would end me.

"I was too drunk last night and I failed to recognize which room I was in. I tried to asked our helper where room I was but she did not answer me. I was too weak to stand up and leave-"

"Then why didn't you stop me when I was touching you? Why did you remain quiet? Because you want it right? Because you want to f**k you?!"

"Yes!" I shouted in his face while hot tears are cascading on my cheeks. "Yes I want you! I want to feel you inside me! I want to feel your touch! For the first time I wanted to know what it feels like to be held by you, to be kiss by your lips...to felt your warmth. I want to have you Alpha Gideon I won't deny that but I did not plan any of it. I am sorry I let my desire overpower me. I am sorry for being too weak to control what I feel but believe me or not I did not plan any of this. I did not plan for my sister to disappear,"

A loud thud filled the mansion and upon turning my head on where the sound came from I saw my father standing a few steps away from us...standing beside the broken vase that create the loud sound.

"You told me you did not know anything Elara! You told me you don't have any idea why your twin sister disappear then what is this all about?! You slept with your twin sister's fiance?! You stole your twin sister's fiance?!"

Before I could even respond he took a step forward and hard slap landed on my cheeks making me fall on the cold floor while holding my cheeks.

"You are such a disgrace! Why do you have to be born anyway?! Isn't it enough that you killed your mother from giving birth to you?"

I thought my tears already dried up but I was wrong. My vision started to get blurry once again. I can feel a huge lump on my throat making it hard for me to breath.

I heard it hundred times. How my mother suffered giving birth to me. Elora easily came out while I was left in my mother's belly refusing to come out. Before I was even born I was already hated by my father. He already knew I was stubborn. My mother took her last breath pushing me out.

I grew up being labeled as a bad luck and a disgrace. I guess I will forever live up to that.

"I am sorry Dad," I apologetically uttered and bowed my head refusing to look at my father's eyes filled with rage.

"If Elora did not show up before the bloody full moon you have to marry Elara, Alpha Gideon. You need to fix the mess that you made,"

I lift my head and upon looking at Alpha Gideon's face I can tell that he is against my father's decision but instead he remain silent and turned his head on me. When our gazes met he doesn't have to say that he despise me because the way he looks at me says it all.

"I will find Elora no matter what it takes. I won't let myself get tied to the woman I don't love,"
