Dudley crawled to Alex. His eyes were closed and his breathing shallow. Dudley looked up at his long time friend, rasping, "What have you done?"
Rey rushed to Alexander, muttering, "Let me have a look."
Dudley laid Alex's head in his lap, whispering, "It's going to be okay, Alex. You're going to be okay. I need you to wake up."
Alex's eyes remained closed as Rey looked him over, "He needs to shift. I think he can heal if he shifts."
"Rey, he needs to be awake to shift." Dudley said almost in a panic.
Midnight walked up to Dudley, softly saying, "Not if a shifter with alpha powers orders it."
