“Where did she go ?” Zane panicked in the middle of the night as he shifted back to his human form, while I watched the scene unfold from behind the trees.
Mate had gone out of the hut in the middle of the night before I could sneak in without her or my beta’s knowledge, as he stood guard along with his two warriors outside her place. I didn’t want Zane rubbing it in my face that I couldn’t take back my Luna to the palace yet. If the information was true, someone from the women's quarters was sabotaging the throne and I couldn’t risk my beautiful mate’s life.
I usually got to my sleeping mate’s side before the beta arrived and the scent inhibitors were doing a fantastic job of keeping everyone at bay. It was a struggle to gain control over Sebastian every night, but oh well,
