It seemed like it went on forever. It was so dark I couldn’t even see him in front of me. The only way I knew where he was, was for the fact that he held my hand tightly in his grip. It was beyond me how he was able to see at all. I could hear echoes of water drops as they hit the ground from the cave ceiling. I even got hit by some of them. The stream that was outside seemed to be heading into this cave and went further in as the sounds of the water could be heard.
“Shane?” I whisper softly, the noise carrying with the surrounding rock.
“We’re almost there. Don’t worry, I come here a lot.” He whispers back.
After another few minutes go by, I finally see something up ahead that had a neon blue hue to it. I gasp as we got closer with the cave widening out into a large cavern. Stalagmites
