Chapter 22: Calling Off
"Why did Kurt leave so soon, Paris?"
I suddenly wiped my tears upon hearing the voice of my older brother, Dylan. I snorted silently then blinked so many times. I stood up and didn't turn at him.
I cleared my throat. "He still has his launch meeting later so he left. I'll just go outside, brother," I said without looking at him.
"Uncle Dy, you should eat your breakfast."
"Ah, yes. I should."
Those were the things I heard before I managed to go outside. I went to the greenhouse garden. I sat in the bench, quietly thinking what had just happened earlier.
I just couldn't grasp the thought of Ivo backing out from our wedding. It couldn't be. Maybe I am just hearing it wrong. Ivo wasn't serious with that thought.
