The girls had packed some snacks and stuff into a smaller daypack while I got everything else done. I felt ridiculous all dressed up in their hand-me-downs, but what else could I do?
Everything was ready for our day trip when I was told to sit down on the log next to the fire pit. What now I thought? Then I noticed what Jo was holding.
I immediately got to my feet. “No! That’s going too far,” I exclaimed.
“Sit down,” Alex sternly warned me.
It wasn’t long before they had me all made up. Hot pink lipstick matched the color on my finger and toenails. Mascara, eye shadow and a little blush came next. Things were concluded when they tied a pink ribbon in my hair.
“Come on guys. Don’t you think you’re going a little too far?”
