Merylle’s POV
I quiver in fear as I stare at the four lifeless bodies in front of me. I anxiously roam my eyes to see any signs of the fast-moving vampire. The harsh blow of the wind, the sounds of the chirping birds enveloped the place, and the dark-orangey sun striking between the gap of the leaves made me stand on my feet.
'It's already late. I need to go home!'
I can’t believe going home is the first thing that comes into my mind after seeing the brutality in front of me.
Well, if I won’t move now, I’ll be the one to witness the brutality to myself. The royals will surely kill me.
I walk slowly at first, making myself attentive to the possible presence of the attacker.
'Did that shadow save me? Or I am one of its victims?'
