"Are you okay?" I asked after Venz left the room.
I immediately attended to her and fix her dress. I pushed aside the electric feeling crawling up my spine when my hand brushed her bare skin. She stared at me, dumbfounded. The tears covering her eyes make her look so innocent—like a fragile being needs to be protected.
"What do you mean our emotions are linked?" she murmured. Hesitation is very evident in her voice, probably thinking she has no right to ask a question as a slave.
