Chapter 28
Merylle’s POV
I woke up from the sliding of the door being opened by someone. My eyelids feel heavy due to the dried tears from crying the whole night. I force myself to get up when I saw a servant getting in. My hands are still chained which is connected to my collar. The good thing is that the guard who chained me last night tied my wrists in front instead at the back. It made me less uncomfortable to sleep.
I sat on the edge of the bed. The servant did not bother looking me in the eye as she grab my hand and inserted the key to free me. I gently move my hand in a circular motion to ease up the pain.
"Thank you," I utter softly. She turns her back and exits the room without talking to me.
Today is Monday, originally, I have a class. King Venz allowed me to go to school
