“We can start looking for the so-called friend, as you put it, by going through the scrapbooks,” Buck suggested when Mika was finished. “But not tonight. We’ve been at this for what seems like forever. We need some downtime.” He smiled at the look of surprise on Mika’s face when he started to put his arm around his shoulders. The smile quickly turned to a grimace when his shoulder protested the movement. “But first, I need some ibuprofen if you have any.”
