Cory stopped. “Jotham, I just thought of something. They don’t have credit cards.”
Jotham looked at Cory as baffled as Dani was. What the heck did a credit card have to do with anything.
“Let my ma… man and I take you to a hotel and get you settled.” Holding his hand up to stop Dani from arguing, he said, “It takes a credit card to get a good hotel room. It will also leave you with all the cash we gave you, so it can stretch a bit longer, so at least you can start planning a future that doesn’t include cardboard houses.”
Jotham smiled down at Cory, pulling him close to his side, leaning over and gently kissed him.
