CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
I rang the doorbell and as I waited for someone to open the front door, I faced Lucian. Even though he looked unbothered, I could feel the anticipation in him, thanks to our mate connection.
“Are you ready for this?” I breathed out as I heard footsteps slowing down at the door before it opened to reveal mum.
“Oh, I want all the-Lucian Black. Literally the one person I really do not want to see,” The smile disappeared on her face, anger briefly flashing in her eyes. Maybe this was a bad idea but it was now or never.
“We need to talk mum,” I said softly, my fingers bunched together.
“Clearly and I do hope for goodness sake, that he has not laid his hands on you. He maybe a wolf but I’m a mother and nothing beats that,”
