Calum was still lying on the couch with his eyes in heavy sleep, while I had already jumped out of bed. It would be the first day I could spend outside of the room without going behind Calum’s back and I could hardly reign in my enthusiasm to start the day.
Though I believed Calum should never have confined me to the bedroom in the first place, I recognized how difficult it was for him to give up control. Since he was willing to compromise with me, I planned that my first act of freedom would be to surprise him with breakfast.
