By the time we returned to the pack house, there wasn’t much either of us had to say. It had been a long day for the both of us. Last night, I made Calum sleep on the couch as he used to. While I knew wholeheartedly that he wouldn’t do anything to me, I couldn’t feel comfortable next to him after the way he crossed my boundaries by marking me.
Despite all that had happened, morning came just like any other and with it came the normalcy of our routine. Calum was hesitant with me in case he went too far again, but he still gave me a kiss on the cheek once he was dressed for the day. He didn’t say anything more about yesterday, but his eyes lingered on my mark before he left for breakfast.
