Dorian can't believe what she witnessed. She has never met Andromeda's mother. But she knows that Aphro must be beautiful because she has never seen any young lady or woman as beautiful as Amdromeada. Mikkos is always talking about how beautiful Aphro is. Dorian had made it her mission to keep talking in Mikkos's ear about not allowing his daughter to take his place.
Alpha Alaric is the Alpha of the Bloodvenom Prowlers. It’s the largest pack in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Rumour is that Alatic’s pack is larger than the royal pack. Alaric is thinking about anything right now except the fact that the woman he has detested all these years is his mate. A mate who left without acknowledging him. His wolf Spartan was about to surface when King Mikkos charged after his mate. He was shocked, as everyone else, when Andromeada shifted. Brandon told him Adromeada doesn't have a wolf and hasn't been trained to fight. He saw tonight that everything he said was a lie. Alaric isn’t planning to reject Andromeada when he thought she was human. She may reject him because they have never liked each other. You could say they hate one another.
Alaric hadn't seen Andromeada in three years. She stopped visiting her father when she turned eighteen. He would only get a short answer from Brandon whenever he asked why Andromeade stopped visiting. Alaric looked at Andromeada in a different light today. Maybe it was because Spartan, his wolf, kept howling in his head. He has alway thought Andromeda has the most beautiful, enchanted blue eyes he has ever seen. Her long hair is a blend of warm brown with golden undertones, creating a sun-kissed effect. Alaric has only seen Andromeade smile once. That was when he went to visit King Mikkos regarding some rogues that had been camping at the outskirts of his territory. Alaric slapped himself several times because he was caught up in Andromeada's smile. Her smile was like a softness that felt like home, safe, warm, and endlessly inviting. For some reason, he thought about her all that day. There is only one word he can think of to describe the stunning 5'7" figure, and that's voluptuous.
Brandon has been talking to Alaric about Andromeade for almost ten minuts when he realizes Alaric is listening to him. When he does get Alaric's attention, it’s the attention he expected.
Alaric gives him a cold, stern stare. “If you and your father had no intentions of honoring the rules, why go after Andromeade liked that? Was it in hopes she would die?”
“Fun, yep, for the hell of it. Something to kill time. I have to say I didn’t expect that b***h to live through the first round. It seems she has been training. Training for what I don’t know. I’m the next king. I would love to know what was in that damn letter her mother sent our father. Whatever it was, it did change his mind. As for her wolf and that little disappearing act. Father said her mother must have been a witch to give that damn beast the power to disappear. Her mother is human, and Andromeada is nothing.” Brandon looks at him, “Why are you so concerned about my sister. You and she are archenemies."
“True, she and I are archenemies. But I believe in fairness, and the crap you and your father did today was foul. You may end up with the title of King. But everyone here today knows that the person who deserves and earned the title isn’t you. I have to get back to my pack. This was a waste of my time.” Alaric thought about telling him that Andromeada is his mate. But now isn’t the time. He wants to speak with Andromeda first.
Brandon stares at Alaric, who's walking away. He thought Alaric would enjoy the outcome.

When Andromeade returned to Mount Olympus, her mother hugged her but didn't console her."Don't worry, this is just the beginning. You'll have what's yours. How dare Mikkos lie to you and put your life in danger at his and his stupid son's expense? I can't leave out that ugly old mate of his. I'm sure she was enjoying every second of that. b***h. No, I'm not going to do anything to that male chauvinist jerk. I can't believe I once loved him. I must have had a slow season."
"Mother, my mate was there. I had planned to meet him after that fake competition. If it's one of Brandon's friends, I'm rejecting him. I don't need any of his worthless and weak friends." Andromeada's trying to get out of her Mother's hold, but she can't.
Aphrodite asked her to get to know the young man first before she rejects him. "The Moon Goddess has a reason to create the young man for you. I guess he's a young man. One thing is for sure: he has to be handsome."
Andromeade shook her head. "Really, mother. We'll see about that once I meet the jerk. I have a feeling I'm not going to like him," she looked at her Uncle Ares.
He had also witnessed the competition and wanted to kill Mikkos and Brandon, but Aphrodite stopped him. She wanted her daughter to prove to everyone that she's not a weak woman. Andromeade has been trained by all the Gods, Goddesses, Ares warriors, and the sss women. The day Andromeade was born, and Mikkos made a difference between her and Brandon, they all decided they would train her to be the best warrior not only on Mount Olympus but in the world.
Ares points at her. "You were amazing out there and made everyone here proud of you. We know who the true ruler of Werewolves is. It's you, kido. Just tell us what you want us to do. We're there if you need us."
She tells him right now she wants to teach her worthless half-brother and sexist father a lesson. Right now, Andromeda wants to find out who her mate is. And to do that, she has to stay in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mikkos has been in his office since Andromeade left. He still hasn't figured out when she got a wolf and, more importantly, where she gets the power of apparition. Mikkos is drinking Brandy and had commanded Dorian to stay away from him. She isn't happy about that.
He hasn't seen Brandon since the challenge ended. Maybe it's a good thing because he doesn't want to hear all the stupid questions that he'll ask. Mikkos is furious with his son because he heard that Brandon has a nasty habit. That's hanging out with rogues. That is the one thing he detests: rogues.
Mikkos walked to the window, staring at the spot where Andromeada disappeared. "Damn it, Aphro, what secrets have you kept from me?" He's also talking with someone through his link. Mikkos turns to look at the door as his Beta Adhir.
Adhir tells him some warriors followed Brandon into netural territory, where he met Pablo Ferrell and Cheick Parks.
Hearing these causes Mikkos to go on a rampage. He throws a chair into the wall. "That boy will never learn. How does it look for the future King of Werewolves to be drinking and who knows what else with rogues?"
Adhir sits back, looking at him, thinking, "You haven't heard the worst news yet."
Mikkos stares at the chair stuck in the wall and thinks, "Sometimes I think I made a mistake choosing him.
"You're not the only one. It seems Andromeada has won over half of the members here. All of the Alphas are saying she's an excellent warrior. Whereas Brandon is an average fighter. Don't get mad, but I agree with them. " Adhir looks at him. "Putting your daughter in danger, then after she killed all the challengers, you renege on making her the future Queen. They are calling you a sexist asshole who endangered his daughter for his and his worthless son, and mate entertainment."
He clenches his fists and growls, 'I didn't do anything wrong. What's wrong with teaching my daughter a lesson? I must admit it didn't turn out as I expected." Mikkos narrowed his eyes. "Where in the hell did she learn those fighting skills from? Aphro said she wanted to raise her at her home. A home that she had never mentioned until Andromeada was born."
"Mikkos, you and I seem to remember things differently. We have been friends since we were little tikes. The night Andromeada was born, your ass was happy as hell until Dorian gave birth to Brandon. Mikkos, you never went to visit Aphro and your daughter. Everything was about Dorian and Brandon. Hell, man, I would have left your ass and taken my child with me, too. Male-only bullshit is old-fashioned as hell. Naming Brandon as your successor just put every shifter in danger. In one word. Doom."
