Chapter 33: The last mission [2]

Matagal kaming nagkatitigan sa loob. I took me minutes para maproseso ang mga nangyari.

"I swear I didn't do it"

"So do I. You won't imagine how betrayed I felt that day. My comrades died without justice, and it was your fault! You don't know how much hatred I have accumulated for you over the past years." She said bitterly.

"We're the same FV. You won't imagine how many times I have regretted saving you that night you were trapped in an operation. Naisip ko, if I did not save you that time buhay pa sana si Vannessa." Vannessa was one of my trusted friends. Her death was a wake up call for me, dito ko naunpisahang maisip na umalis sa trabaho.

"Come on, Widowed Rose, let's have a duel you motherfucking traitor."

"Bastard, I've long wanted to have a duel with you too FV. Don't call me traitor coz' I've never betrayed anyone else."

Agad ko siyang binigyan ng scissor kick sa leeg. Nagpagulong gulong kaming dalawa sa CR at parehong walang pakialam kahit na anong dumi pa ng sahig. Nauna siyang nakatayo at ginamit na bwelohan ang likod lalaking kasama niya kanina, poor guy.

I laughed ng sa sobrang lakas ng bwelo niya lumagpas siya saakin.

"Seems like someone's getting rusty" I smirked.

"The who's getting rusty here is you WR" Ipinakita niya saakin ang maliit na karayom niyang hawak.

I looked at my elbow at namamaga na ito.

"Hahaha I thought I will never fight with you like this ever again." I laughed kahit na nag dadalawa na ang nakikita kong FV sa harapan ko ngayon.

"In terms of strength and martial arts, I admit I am very weak compared to you WR. But you will never beat me in using poison."

Sinugod ko siya at malakas na tinuhod ang sikmura. I laughed hard dahil nagkanda laway laway siya. 

Bumagsak kaming pareho sa sahig at tahimik na napatingin nalang sa kisame. 

"I can't believe your f*****g alive." My voice cracked. Nagulat nalang ako ng hagisan niya ng panyo ang muka ko. For the first time since the day she died, tumulo ang luha sa gilid ng mga mata ko.

Ng makarating ako sa Columbia para masabak sa masusing training, may kasama akong isang daang mga bata around my age. Sa isang daan na yon ay kasama ko si Flowered Viper, we don't know anything about each other and we can't see each other's face. At first wala akong pakialam sakanya since she was the weakest among us.

But for some reason during our mission, I saved her and that's where our friendship started. Even after we formed our own organization, the alliance between our organization is famous for its strong bond.

"Tell me the truth WR, was it you?" Mahina lang ang pagkakasabi niya na animo ay kausap lang niya ang sarili niya.

"Three years ago, we received a strange mission request from an unknown commissioner sa headquarters ng Black Rose Organization sa Chile. Someone commissioned us to eradicate the whole Viper Organization. The commission money is no joke, it was 100 million US dollars." I wiped my tears at saka inabot ang dagger sa boots ko. I sliced yung area kung saan ako natusukan ng lason at hinyaang tumulo ang dugo ko sa braso.

"I got angry dahil ang lakas ng loob ng taong lumapit saamin ng ganong klaseng commission samantalang alam naman ng lahat kung gaano tayo ka close dati. So we tracked down who sent the request. It was the heir of Genovese familia."

"Nalaman kong nag tatago siya sa Argentina so I chased him there. I killed him dahil sa ginawa niya. And then hours later I received a report from our headquarters that your organization attacked us. I was talking to Vannessa at that time when I heard the bombing."

"I rushed back home para komprontahin ka but the last thing I saw was a figure similar to yours going inside your headquarter seconds before the explosion happened."

Naupo siya at seyosong humarap saakin.

"That day, we received a similar commission request from the headquarter sa Chile. The same request and the same money offer. Pero, believe me or not we did not make any move laban sainyo. I was here in the Philippines having a week time vacation pero natagalan ako dahil I spotted a VIP client na matagal na naming hinahanap dahil tinakbuhan kami mula sa isang deal."

"Then days have passed walang kumontact saakin mula sa HQ . Lumipas ang ilang linggo, buwan at taon pero tuluyan na ako nawalan ng contact sa mga kasamahan ko. Alam mo yung WR hindi gaya saiyo na kalat ang headquarters mo sa ibat ibang bansa, saakin ay nag iisa lang ang base ko at yun ay ang nasa Chile."

"A year later, I received a package from an unknown person. It was a 10 seconds video of our HQ exploding. And I saw your face in that video. You were there."

"Staying here for a year exhausted my savings. I didn't know what to do. Not until I met Julien Miguel. She asked me to assume her personality in exchange for her inheritance."

Nakipantay ako ng upo sakanya at tinignan siya sa mata. She's still the FV that I know, pero her eyes is different. Her eyes are like the eyes of a person who is long dead inside. I looked at every inch of her face. Like what she said earlier, this is also my first time seeing her face.

"I'm sorry FV I was not able to protect you." She is like a sister to me but still, I doubted her.

"I'm sorr too WR, I was so angry at you over the past years. Hindi ko lang inaamin pero I know it was my fault. Hindi ako magandang leader, I was not strong enough to protect my organization. Gaya noong mga bata pa tayo, I am still the loser." Lumapit siya saakin at may itinusok pang karayon saakin.

"Hey b***h" Sinapok ko siya sa ulo.

"It's an antidote idiot, hindi mo yan magagamot ng pagpapadugo lang." She glaired.

"We're really destined to meet, now that we completely know each other. Maybe it's time for us to introduce ourselves again WR." Inilahat niya ang palad niya saakin at ngumiti.

"Matagal ko ng gusting gawin ito pero it was agains our assassin's code. I am Flory Mendez, and you must be Joana Richardson?"

Natawa ako dahil sa sinabi niya.

"My real name is Nicky Lucchese, nice to meet you Flory." Eksaktong yayakapin ko siya ng mawala na ang epekto ng poison na ginamit niya saakin.

"Wait, Lucchese? As in the famous Lucchese familia?"

"I am linked to then just in the name nothing more." I scorned dahil alam kong alam naman niya kung anong nangyari saakin bago kami magkakilala.

Tumayo na kami at naghugas ng sarili dahil sorbang dumi naming dalawa. 

"I have an extra clothes sa locker ko, I'll lend you one." Sabi niya habang inaakyat ang lababo at inaabot ang CCTV.

"Don't bother FV, kilala mo naman ako. I have corrupted those already last night, so you don't have to worry." I gave her a hand as she jumped down.

Mabilis kaming lumabas ng CR at marahang nagpunta sa locker ni Flory. Nag damit siya ng ordinary tapos pinahiram naman niya saakin ang PE uniform niya.

"So it seems like close friend na kayo since naghihiraman na din kayo ng damit?" 

"Are you done peeping?" Tinaasan ng kilay ni Flory ang taong angsalita sa likod namin.

"You know Mike-" 

"That's Sir Mike for you." He corrected me.

"You Mike baby, kung gusto mong makita ang katawan ko badly you don't need to peek okay? you just have to say it to me and I'll gladly offer my body to you." I wiggled my brow at him.

Flory whistled at natatawang umiling saakin.

"Whats wrong with you two? Wag niyong sabihing nag laban kayo sa CR?" Kunot noo niyang sabi at akmang lalapit saaming dalawa pero umatras kami ni Flory papalayo sakanya.

Flory covered her face dahil is swollen at madami siyang bukol sa noo dahil sa paulit ulit kong pag untok sakanya sa toilet bowl.

"Pft." Pinipigilan kong hindi matawa dahil she looked epic.

Itinago ko naman patalikod ang isang braso ko dahil tuloy tuloy ito sa pagdugo. I sliced my hand kanina at sobrang tagal mag sara ng sugat.

Panay ang ilag namin ni Flory sakanya pero mapilit siya. Para matigilan siya sa paglapit I gave him a peck on the cheecks. 

"Come on Mike pumayag ka na kasi date me--"

"S-Sir Mike pinapatawag ka po ni President sa office n-niya." Nabaling ang tingin naming tatlo sa nakayukong babaeng sumingit sa usapan namin. I was quite annoyed pero nawala din agad ng makita ko kung sino ang nagsalita.

"Sandra? Pano nangyari yun kagabi halos hindi ka nga makalakad ah. Your ankle's recovery is so dang fast." Inikutan ko siya dahil last na nakita ko siya ay hindi siya makalakad mag isa. And now it is as if walang nangyari sakanya.

Ngumiti lang siya saakin at nahihiyang tumango.
