Tina looked around the circle of people gathered at the bridge.
A meeting of the ship’s crew only, Aliz had said, so Finn, Thor, Jens, Rex and Rasa weren’t present.
“So, to repeat, you suggest we go to the station, pick up these scientists, and then take this heavily armed military ship to a pirate stronghold and work with them?” Yonta said. “Can anyone tell me why this isn’t a ridiculous idea?”
Framed like that, no one had an appetite to answer that question. Yonta had been defensive ever since Tina had started talking about her plan. Tina was especially annoyed at how she said the word “scientists”. She was highly tempted to ask if Yonta was sure that she was the smartest person in all of inhabited space.
