Chapter 11The middle of the week went about as Lyle thought it would—slow while the shop was open, with a few rentals but nothing to brag about. Once they closed for the day, the haunted house actors appeared, right on schedule. So did Damien. Having him there turned out to be a blessing because he did as Lyle had suggested, taking all the costumes up to the sewing room racks once they’d been tried on and Lyle, Joseph, or Elaine had marked what alterations were needed. Most of the alterations were on the devil costumes as they were what one of the actresses called ‘real’ clothes, not what characters like the witches, or the zombies were wearing.
