That turned out to be an awesome few weeks. We drove all over northern Italy, going to Pisa, the beaches near Livorno, and museums in Florence.
We spent three days at the Uffizi Gallery. I’d never been in such a museum. Everything was gorgeous. I enjoyed it more than the Louvre in Paris or the Metropolitan in New York. Rachel informed us that it was viewed as the best museum in Italy, if not the whole world. I could definitely see why. I was amazed at the colors of the works I’d only seen in books. Printing could never reproduce those colors.
