Not being able to go with Dane for the attack on the rogues was almost enough to send me into a total breakdown. I couldn't stand the thought of something bad happening to my handsome mate when I wasn't there to heal him right away.
Even Zane and Zoey were sad after he left. I took them back to our living quarters right away, but they cried nonstop for the next few hours. I tried everything I could think of to cheer them up, but nothing calmed them down.
First, I tried feeding them, but they refused to nurse. Next, I tried giving them a bath with lavender soap, but that didn't help either. After that, I tried snuggling them in the rocking chair with no luck again. Eventually, I lied them on the bed with me and put Dane's pillow on the other side of them.
