(MARILYN’S POV)
A knock came at my door as I lay in bed with my duvet covered up to my chin and the air conditioner turned up. I’m not ashamed to admit that I hoped it was Louis at the door. We had not seen since we separated at our arrival back to the house. (Not used to calling this home yet.)
When we got back, I had rushed inside and upstairs feeling overwhelmed by the events of today. And so we had not spoken.
But I was disappointed by who came in to my room because when I slowly turned around, I saw that it was mum. I sat up taking a glance at the window and seeing that everywhere was dark already.
“Hey my love.” Mum said and she climbed in to bed and gave me a bear hug.
“Hy mum.” I greeted her back trying to sound cheerful.
