Delilah
“Is everything ready? Has?” Distracted I stroked my hand across my massive stomach. My eyes drifting away from me and over the garishly coloured balloons and the mass of people who had come to welcome Double home. Most of whom I didn’t know.
I kind of begrudged it, all these people. I wanted him all to myself. It seemed like an eternity since I had last seen him. And that last time hadn’t exactly been a loving partner.
I missed him.
Missed him so much it was like a hole had been torn in my soul.
But at least he was coming home . And today was the day. In only an hour or so he should be here. Home where he belonged with me.
As the minutes counted down I was becoming more and more nervous. A tight feeling gripping me around the middle.
“Has minute?” I asked for the hundred
