I knew there was a lot to be discussed and worked through but I was thankful when Faith took charge and ordered everyone to leave me alone for a few hours.
I was tired. Both emotionally and physically. I wanted to wash the salt water from my clothes and body and sink into the sweet oblivion of sleep for a few hours.
But I knew the moment my hand closed around the bedroom doorknob and I heard the heavy tread of a man’s feet behind me what I would find.
Turning I glared at Rhyder.
Why couldn’t he take the hint?
“We need to talk.” He stopped dead in front of me. His chest rising and falling rapidly.
“We are not doing this now Rhyder.” Wearily I pushed open the door. Attempting to close it behind me. Rhyders foot stopped it from closing. He stepped in behind me.
“Yes we are.”
