The bedroom shook, as the house was engulfed in darkness.
The battle has begun.
Were my sisters alright? Had the fighting started? Were my parents safe?
Questions of uncertainty ran through my mind, only one thought taking precedent.
I needed to join them and assist with the fight of our lifetime.
I would never be able to shut off the worry and uncertainty within me.
I floated outside as I heard a piercing scream ring through the air. Everything was laid in darkness.
'Lobelia, are you hurt? Do not draw attention to yourself.' I mind linked my sister, trying to assess the surrounding damage. Thoughts were filtering in and out of my mind.
Mom, check.
Lily, check.
Silas, check.
His mother, check.
Lawrence, check.
Grandmother... hmm when did she arrive? Check.
