Chapter 08

"Wake up, sleeping beauty." Jaiyana is awakened from her sleep by a familiar hoarse voice. She stood up as soon as the voice registered in her mind and she realized who the owner of that voice was. Her vision went black, and the dizziness caused her to stumble on her feet. Her soft body was saved from falling by a strong and thick arm. She felt electrified. The unexpected occurrence rendered her speechless and embarrassed.

"I know you like me, but throwing yourself at me is too much and too sudden." He turned his head to the side, still holding her in his arms, like an embarrassed maiden. His eyes fluttered, and a little blush on his cheeks made him look both cute and handsome. Her mouth hung open at the punk's abrupt and absurd words.

What happened was obviously not intentional!

"I know courting is difficult, but I would appreciate it if we took things slowly." His already flushed cheeks turned even redder with his added words, as if he was embarrassed to admit he liked her. Jaiyana was even more perplexed by the current situation. Things had taken to a weird turn. This is not what she expected after waking up. She needs to go home since Hannah is still waiting for her and she does not want to spend more time with this guy.

"Listen, it's not what you think-" Jaiyana jumped out of his embrace and began to explain when her words were suddenly cut off.

"How dare you touch him! " An angry voice boomed, and a crowd swarmed the area where they were. A guy who appeared to be their age pointed his finger angrily at Jaiyana. "How dare you take advantage of him and be so shameless as to ask him to run away with you?! "

He's the one who held me, okay?! Are you blind?! Jaiyana almost shouted from frustration.

"He's right! How could you be so brazen?! "

"Take responsibility!"

"Wait, run away? Are they planning to elope?"

The other members who accompanied the angry person murmured and shouted to put more pressure on Jaiyana, who had no idea what was going on. They exchanged knowing glances and almost applauded the angry guy's performance. They had no idea the punk had great acting skills. He should audition for a part.

"I didn't-"

"Charles, stop. I understand if she doesn't want to take responsibility." Khaleed lowered his gaze, and his dejected voice and saddened words made it appear as if he was a maiden who got pregnant by her and she didn't want to take responsibility. The group wanted to look away from him. This shamelessness of Khaleed is too much for them to bear. He doesn't resemble the werewolf who declared war on the girl's pack just a few days ago.

Jaiyana just stood there dazed, she almost have a hyperventilation from defending herself. It is fine for her to debate with someone regarding social issues since the other party could acknowledge her statements, but these punks - these punks are only here to find fault at her and make her take responsibility for something that she didn't even do, they won't even let her speak! She can only hold her nape and breathe in and out, to steady herself. She's still so young but these bastards would cause her a heart attack. If only she can just punch them out of their delusions, it would be great but how can she do that when these f***s are three times bigger than her?

"You still dare to deny it?! Are we blind to you that you think we didn't see you pulling him into a hug and asking him to runaway with you?" Charles raged.

You're not blind, but you are insane and deaf. Jaiyana gritted her teeth in annoyance. She didn't even say anything to Khaleed before he uttered those atrocious words! She took a deep breath and swallowed the curses. This is why, back then, she does not argue with people-on the internet, old people and kids. They can't be reasoned with. They are so willful that they will do as they please and spout nonsense as they please, just like these brats.

"I didn't pull him! You're imagining things!" she argued back helplessly.

Khaleed should just ask her to go out and not ask them to do this shameless thing. Charles' face muscles twitch as he holds back his laughter. Charles pitied Jaiyana in this situation, but he and the others couldn't do anything because Khaleed asked for a favor, and since their Alpha says to do what Khaleed says, they will. "You tainted his purity! And because of what you did, you ought to take responsibility! You will marry him once you are of age!" Charles, who was acting as the maiden-like Khaleed's father, declared without hesitation.

The members who were with Charles wished Jaiyana luck as well. Why, of all the people she has to attract, must it be Khaleed's? That punk is cunning! If he has to be shameless, he will do so without forethought. That guy's skin is thick enough to crush China's great wall.

After Charles gave them a hand signal, two members of the group grabbed Jaiyana's arms. Jaiyana, gritted her teeth as she struggled from their grip, "Let go! What the f**k do you think you're doing?" but these two punks are werewolves and each of them can take down eight werewolves. How can she easily escape them? The other guy raised her right wrist and Khaleed stride forward to her, he stood six foot while she's only five-two.

"What are you going to do?!" Jaiyana's eye's were alert and her body tensed up as Khaleed gets nearer. He held her wrist without saying a word, another person handed him a dagger. Jaiyana's breath hitch. She couldn't read him, his expressionless face makes it difficult for her to figure him out. If Khaleed wants to kill her then why did his group created a ruckus?

Khaleed suddenly flicked her forehead affectionately, "Stop overthinking." A small smile appeared on his lips, Jaiyana is both stunned, amazed and annoyed. Stunned with the sudden affection, amazed with how good looking he is and annoyed with how he and his friends set her up and now he is acting affectionately with her as if he didn't do or said anything a while ago, acting so innocent. She felt the veins on her head bulging.

His gaze held a hint of interest, she didn't know what warrant this interest of his but she does not want it. No matter how handsome and desirable this kid is, she wouldn't touch a minor. She swallowed her saliva as she tries to maintain her deteriorating integrity.

A swift and precise cut on her wrist made her hiss in pain. She glared at the culprit who is Khaleed. He pulled out a two centimeter teeth of a wolf and he inserted it to Jaiyana's bleeding wound he made on her wrist. She grunted in pain as she endured and glared at Khaleed hatefully.

Naturally, her glare didn't escape Khaleed's eyes. He signaled for his pack to leave, the two included. The way he commanded the others is so natural as if he was born for it, born to lead. Jaiyana eyed him with envy. to be so natural at it at a young age, one has to be trained and honed for it. Even in her past life, she didn't have the capacity or ability to lead.

His subordinates disappeared suddenly, her eyes weren't able to catch them. Her eyes went back to Khaleed who's head is slightly tilted, his red curls falling on his cheek. She gritted her teeth and throw a punch on him. Her hand barely scratched his cheek so she decided to punch his chest. "What was that for, you asshole?!" She spat at him.

He stood there unbudgingly with her punches and it made her hate him more. The more patient he was with her temper, the more she wants to throw a tantrum. However, throwing a tantrum at a seventeen year old while she's a nineteen year old is quite shameful, so after throwing several punches at him, she stood there glaring at him.

"Has your anger subsided?" He asked gently as he holds her wounded wrist.

"What do you want?! Want to cut me again?! Is it not enough?!" She spat at him hatefully as she dodge his hand however his move is too swift, he was able to hold her wounded wrist without too much effort.

He eyed her wound without blinking, "I'm sorry." As he says those words, he suddenly licked her wounded wrist. His sudden action stunned her, the softness of his tongue on her skin sent shivers on her spine, she suddenly felt tingles on her stomach and it left her speechless, her eyes widening in surprise and her cheeks were burning. She felt shameful as she burned in desire for him. Despite her body being in the age of fourteen, her mind and soul is already nineteen and no longer innocent.

As he continuously lick her wound, his eyes went to her and the burning desire in her eyes excited him, he wants to pin her down and do things that will make her cry in pleasure. When Khaleed caught her staring at him, she was surprise when she saw the intense desire on his eyes. She felt shame and avoided his heated gaze. It is too much for her to take.

Khaleed smirk as he stared at the girl who's looking anywhere but him, her cheeks were red. It was adorable.

To act like this in front of a seventeen year old is shameful, Jaiyana scolded herself.

"I'm sorry for what I did earlier, it was out of the line. I had no choice but to grab the opportunity to meet you where your pack can't see you." Khaleed says as he grab a handkerchief from his pocket.

Jaiyana raised an eyebrow, "So, why do you want to meet me?"

"I saw you beating up the three cubs that used to bully you. You fought back without the usual fear we see in you and you fought magnificently, you overpowered them and even bullied back. Then we saw you manipulating the people around to hate those people from your pack like you were used to it." He eyed her with fascination like a mad scientist who just made a new discovery. His grip on her wrist tightened and he pulled her closer and observed every changes on her face.

'He's f*****g mad.' Her heart thumped and her instinct is telling her to stay away from this crazy person.

"You make me curious, Jaiyana. You're an Omega and yet you are standing in front of me without fear. I wonder what makes you so brave? They say that a person's soul is sealed to their role..." His words made her heart erratic, she felt fear of being discovered that she is not from this world. He, for sure, would do anything to experiment on her. She heard before that several alchemist and mages experiments on werewolves and that the Agrios Royal Pack has these people.

"What's with the sudden change? Hmn? Are you not really an Omega or..." his eerie smile made Jaiyana more nervous.

She pursed her lips and didn't answer.

"Is it reincarnation?"
