Bringing Joy

I want us to be happy

Happy as can be.

I want to have your children

And live happily.

I love to see your smile

To hear your soft voice.

To have you in my presence

Brings me so much joy.

When you leave me alone

I feel so very sad.

I'm forced to sit and wonder

If I made you mad.

But when you return

You show no sign of anger.

You say you just saw a friend

Was it a girl, I wonder.

Just when I'd given up

You come to me with a ring.

You ask me to marry you

What joy to me this brings.

This is a poem I wrote for my husband when our relationship was still blossoming.  He is my world now, and I couldn't be happier to have him in my life!
