What Comes Over Me

Words can't explain

What's come over me.

Sometimes I feel pain

Sometimes I feel glee.

When I look in your eyes

I feel it's been fate.

When you hold me in your arms

I feel all so safe.

When you kiss me

With your sweet tender lips.

Your patch of face hair

Makes my chin itch.

When I see you

I could melt from my feelings.

When we talk on the phone

I feel like floating to the ceiling.

When we are together

I sometimes feel shy.

I just want to tell you

My feelings from inside.

Although we don't talk much

I feel there's something there.

Sometimes I just wish

You could always be here.

We haven't been talking

For all that long.

But you make me feel special

So for you, I feel fond.

This is a poem I wrote within the first few weeks of dating my husband.  We connected right away, and he changed my life for the better.
