PEARL'S POV:
Three piles of ash cover the top of two inches of snowy ground. Smoke trickles into the frosty air. I stab my dagger into the top of the exposed tree stump out of frustration and bury my face into the palms of my hands.
"Oh! This is useless!" I moan. "I am never going to get the hang of this!"
Destiny squats on her knees and gently lays her small hand on my arm."This is not useless, Pearl. You just have to clear your mind."
