Epilogue
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Avery asked as he and O.B. walked into the Out and Proud one Saturday night a couple months later.
The Thunderbolts had made it to the playoffs and O.B. wanted to celebrate that accomplishment as well as show Avery a good time.
“Yes, sir, I do,” O.B. replied, putting his arm around Avery’s waist and walking them toward the bar. “We can’t stay cooped up in your apartment forever. Ain’t natural. It’s about time I took my man out and showed him off.” He reached down and gave Avery’s ass an affectionate squeeze.
They found a couple of stools at the bar. They both ordered beers, leaned back, and surveyed the scene. The music was playing and the dance floor was crowded.
