The last thing I wanted to do that evening was go home, puddling around in the saltbox, unable to read or concentrate on a movie. I didn’t want to go out for a drink or dancing, or have a late dinner all by myself at a fine restaurant. Instead, the sun set late, seven fifty-one, showcasing a stunning red-blue twilight, and I decided to take a walk in Ladmar Park, which was across from WRDR, handy to work.
Light snow covered the ground, and the temperature was below average at thirty-one. A chill hung in the air, not that I minded. A scarf and gloves were probably needed, but I didn’t feel it personally necessary, enjoying the chill. The wind felt gentle against my face, crisp and exactly what I needed after a hard day’s work.
