Chapter 21: Code name ~ Death

As she sits next to her stepmother, Shen Baiyu smiles as she watches the sudden arrival of her younger sister. Though she is cursing to the moon and the back regarding the latest glitches caused by those 2 idiotic princes.

Code name: Dahlia

If this happens in her own time and era, those 2 idiots’ name will be listed on her “Death List” and they will be killed by one of her best-hired killer, Dahlia. Dahlia is the No. 1 bodyguard-c*m-hired killer in her company. Her group of bodyguards-c*m-hired killers are consisted mostly of females due to the fact that no one will expect that women can be as ruthless as men in the very same industry.

She too used to be the No. 1 contract killer in the industry, but she then quit from her previous company in order for her to open another company of her own. It is quite a risky move at that time, several times she nearly escaped her own death.

For damage control, she then hired each of the best bodyguards and contract killers from each company including those working on their own. Due to her highly successful and unprecedented move, no company dares to disturb or challenge hers including her so-called enemies and they are kept at bay. Why? She is withholding all of their secrets in her company's vault.

Another reason why she is so successful in what she does? That she has to thank her stupid older brother who is a genius programmer. Each of her people is programmed with a computer chip embedded into their brains to monitor their movements 24/7. It is calculating for her to do so, but this is to ensure each of her people is loyal towards her and her company.

She and her people are the brawn of her company while her brother is the brain operating her whole company. But, as the founder of her company, she is the face that represents her company for all these years. She is still one of the top contract killers of all time, but she passed the pedestal to Dahlia from the very beginning when her company has been formed. She missed her people; Amaryllis, Bluebell, Cosmos, Dahlia, Dragon, Erica, Fuschia and Phoenix. These are the people that were there with her from the very beginning.

That's it. She has decided to form a mercenaries' group in this ancient time once she can get a hand on that compensation money from that troublemaker. Shen Baiyu smiles at her younger sister and thought, "That guy is literally a stalker, Lianhua."

Meanwhile, somewhere in the nearby manor, that person is standing with his hands on his back while he stares at the Shen Residence. He suddenly clenched one of his hand as he continues to listen to his shadow guard's report.

"Eldest Miss Shen has already come back. I have heard their conversation that the Third Prince is on his way back to the imperial city for the upcoming banquet. Her older brother has instructed for her to stay within her courtyard for the time being and the security around the manor has been strengthened with a triple amount of guards."

"I was right after all... Once he knew that her engagement will be annulled, he intends to make her one of his concubines. That fool! Both brothers are such an i***t! She is no one's concubine. She will be my crown princess and the future empress of our Kingdom. With her personality and stubborn streak, why would she bother to be just an insignificant concubine of a sickly wangye. Shen Baiyu then stands up as she walks outside the waiting hall to stare into the distance.

"Older sister, what is it? Is there anything wrong?"

"I can feel something will happen soon. I do not feel good about this."

"No worries... Our family will protect you!"

"I know..." (But I do not wish to affect and drag her family into this mess. Baiyu ah... If it is you, you will suffer another near-death experience for sure. Do not worry, I will do my best not to let them affect this family. I guess... The time has come for me to form a group of underground mercenaries and destroy those in our ways...)

The original body owner, by now, is no longer traceable within her body. Aurelia then wonder whether she has gone to the other side? Is that weak girl already given up and chosen death as a way of escape?
