After my short conversation with Idalia, I walked into the cave looking for April. She was nowhere, not even in our room. One of the servants told me she was by the river and I headed over there to find her. It was not safe to just wander around, especially when we were targets.
Not long after, I arrived and she was in the water. Taking a cool bath, her body naked as her skin glowed under the sunlight. She was having a peaceful moment, her eyes closing with the touch of the sponge in her hand.
“I know you’re there, my love,” she said, softly. Her back was turned to me. I had forgotten she has our same senses and she can tell when one of us is near. With a big smile on my face, I walked down the small dirt path until I reached the river.
