April “How are you feeling?” Egan asked as he was trying to fix the cloak on my naked body, so it didn’t fall and show my skin in front of the magical dragons. “I’m feeling amazing,” I replied, snuggling against his chest and rubbing my face on his jaw, feeling the growing stubble scrape my cheek. Happiness took over me, my smile wouldn’t fade as I took in his scent, which was stronger than before, meaning my beast had enhanced senses. “That’s great. Does it mean you are ready to go home?” I nodded, kissing his lips in a hungry way. This was not me at all, but I felt so alive and healthy, healthier that I’ve felt in years. I wasn’t sure how I was able to hide my condition from Egan and Blaze and how they didn’t even notice I had it, but I was glad they didn’t know.
