I awoke after having a dream—no, it wasn't a dream after all. It was a complete nightmare.
Bumangon ako mula sa pagkakahiga at tumitig sa kabaong ni Akira sa harap ko. Halos wala nang tao dahil malalim na ang gabi.

I turned my head and saw Aica and Miggy who were sitting on the other side. I smiled at them and fixed my hair. Lumipat sila sa tabi ko at napansin ko na panay ang linga ni Miggy sa labas. Parang hindi siya mapakali.
"Kasama n'yo ba si Akina?" I asked both of them but they just gave me an awkward smile.
