“Are they asleep?” Apollo asked me when I entered our bedroom. I had just checked on Charis and her child to make sure they were comfortable in their sleep and didn’t need anything else. I peeked through the slightly open door and saw them sleeping soundly. So I carefully walked away and returned to our room. I found Apollo already on the bed, holding his phone and seemingly looking at something.
“They’re sound asleep. I’m just going to wash up,” I told him, kissing him on the cheek. I took some clothes from the closet and went into the bathroom.
