"Ma'am, it's time."
Napalingon ako sa dalawang babaeng nag-aasikaso sa akin. Their faces were glowing with excitement as they smiled at me. Halos hindi ko na mabilang kung ilang beses nila akong tinanong kanina kung kinakabahan ba ako. Pero ngayon, sa mismong sandaling ito—hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga ang nararamdaman ko.
I took a deep breath and stood up.
It's time.

I smoothed down my dress and glanced at the mirror one last time. My heart pounded in my chest, a mixture of nervousness and anticipation swirling inside me. Was I ready? Of course, I was.
I turned to the women beside me and smiled. "Let's go."
