[Cairo Gascon's POV]
I looked sideways at nakitang may paparating na sasakyan sa kanya. It honked for several times dahil sa bilis nito ay hindi magagawang makapag-brake bago hindi matamaan si Sydney. But she remained calm and even closed her eyes. Without hesitation, I ran with all of my strength left and jumped across the road. It was a life-and-death situation but I couldn't care less. In a blink of an eye, I jumped as high as I could so that I could yank Sydney and myself out of the road and everything went according to plan. As soon as I reached onto Sydney's arm, I hugged her tight as we both fell on the other side of the road, hitting my back on the ground.
I groaned in response to the pain.
