[Sydney Paralejo's POV]
We were silent for quite a while since I didn't know how to respond to what he said. It was the first time I heard someone tell me that I was "somebody" to them. A friend, to be specific. I was caught off guard by what he said that I only managed to look down at the floor and did not respond. Ano ba ang sasabihin ko?
I slowly raised my head at him and saw that he was already looking at me. I quickly glanced away from his line of sight as I could feel my cheeks heat.
Wait. Was that a smirk on his face? Was he smiling? I think he was. O hindi kaya ay namalikmata lamang ako?
Agad akong umiling dahil kung anu-ano na ang pumasok sa isipan ko. I tried to think of things that we can talk about.
