Chapter 2 - The Half-Stone

Dimensional World

In a dimensional time and space, it is a dimensional world that controls the wheel of time to humanity. It has a bright surrounding, no night at all, lushes trees and different kinds of flowers. The sky is blue that reflects the color of the tranquility of the sea. There's one crystal palace floating and gleaming in the middle of the sky. This castle is owned by an immortal named Kairo Middlestone. He's the reincarnated God by Chronos, the God of time and space. The young man lived for thousands of years like the other gods in different dimensions. Since he's immortal, he maintained his youthful features and a very handsome man. He wears a mix of white and gold long clothes with dazzling beads designs. He also wears armor to protect him from his enemies. He wears ancient golden gladiator sandals and a crystal crown on his head.

Kairo was staring at the necklace as it floating on a non-gravity force in a dimensional room inside the crystal palace. It was the Time Stone Crystal that balances the flow of time in the world and other dimensions. It is a powerful stone owned by him. Until his meditation halted, he felt the presence of a deity behind him. 

"Good thing you feel my presence."

He instantly saw the creature wears an ancient black suit with black armor and smiled at him. His eyes narrowed when he faced him. "And who told you to come inside my kingdom?"

"Is that how you treat your guest?" the man's voice seemed to be teasing.

"I do not allow a beast like you to be here. You are not welcome. If you have a plan to take the Time Stone from me, I will not give it to you." He thinks deeply about it and prepares for what the man might do to the stone he has.

The man chuckled. "I'll borrow it just for a while. I'll give it back to you right away. You know, I've been longing for the power of your stone, Kairo Middlestone. If you could give me a small amount of your power, maybe you could help me with my desires. Or else, we can strengthen our powers to create a new world with two Kings."

"Hyperion, if you want to take it with your evil plans, I'm warning you. You already know what will happen to our world when you use it for your devastation. What do you think about this world? A puppet or a slave one? What else? You already have your Soul Stone. Isn't it enough for you?"

"Don't be so ridiculous, Kairo! All the gods in this dimension are aspired to complete the stones. I just wanted to have even a piece of its immense for my new world. Isn't that a great aspiration?"

"Not an aspiration but a desperate beast! You are a fool person whom I ever know. Since we were little, that's what you had in your sanity. I never wanted a massive strength just like you because I took care of the world and the people who lived in it. If you have nothing else to say, you can leave." He instantly created a blue lightning sword in his right hand.

"Oh, I'm scared." He sounds like teasing him. "Do you think you can fight with a God like me? How can if I have this?" He grinned wide. With a flip of his finger, he has the Time Stone Crystal instantly.

"Huh? No!" he was shocked. He turns to his stone behind him but, it's gone. He turns back again to Hyperion with a clenched fist on his left.

"See? It's easy," he still chuckled.

Kairo also gripped his sword tightly. He used his vision power in Hyperion's energy. He discovered something different. "You already have the Mind Stone, a greedy beast!"

"Huh! I don't care what you want to call me. The important thing is, I got the Time Stone from yours. I'm leaving. See you again." He suddenly disappeared then, his laugh echoed.

Kairo followed the creature Hyperion with the use of his instant flashes. Wherever the place they diverted, he would chase the wicked thief. He will not let him rule over the entire dimensional world and create his dark realm. He promised that he would take care of humanity as long as he could.

"Hyperion!" he shouted. He unleashed the vast energy of the sword to his opponent.

He hit him. Hyperion falls on sharp rocks in other dimensions but, he rapidly stands up. They diverted again until they reach the mortal's world in the desert. Hyperion used black power and developed a vast dunes whirlwind. The size and strength of these sand storms can maybe affect the people nearby.

Kairo also built a defense to prevent an explosion just in case it will hit him. He also released his vital energy from the sword and blasted Hyperion's defense. He diverted to the upper part to see the whirlwind's center where his opponent in the bottom inside. When he reached the middle, he immediately attacked him but, his opponent was cunning. Hyperion suddenly disappeared. The whirlwind quickly gulped him. But the young man also instantly disappeared before the whirlwind exploded in the middle of the desert. He was able to divert away from the powerful explosion.

He saw his devilish smirks in the distance and then abruptly disappeared again. He followed him until they reached the broad ocean. They grappled with each other using the skills of their hands and feet like a fist martial arts. They are still in the atmosphere as their energy has an intense collision on the ocean.

"You are nothing compares to my power, Kairo! Even before!" he screeched.

He averts his quick blows and kicks. "Even then, you are arrogant! That stone doesn't mean for you!" he screeched too. He also releases his quick punches and kicks.

Their strengths clashed again until they diverted to another place, a one quiet night that no one passes by. Kairo had a chance to get back his necklace from Hyperion but, his rival hand was also fast. They fought again and again until one of them will surrender and vanish. The massive impact as they fought each other affects the surroundings. Many houses got destroyed to their released powers and, the world is shaking. He heard the people screaming and got frightened while some of the houses are burning into the fire. He was alarmed. He doesn't want to ruin the place because of them. He needs to think of a plan to reverse the time before it's too late. But Hyperion is a heartless beast! His rival uses the power to control his mind. Unfortunately, Hyperion influenced him using his Mind Stone. 

"Uggh!" He feels the uncertain power on his head.

"I will destroy you, Kairo!" He slightly raises his right hand, and the Mind Stone came out on his palm. 

"Aaahhh!" He holds his head in both hands while suffering the pain. 

"Don't ever underestimate my immense power." His eyes glaring while staring at him, 

He must have to do something, or else the world will be devastated together with him. s**t! He is too powerful. He has no choice but to use his last chances. He removes his right hand from his head and opens his palm widely. He stares in the middle of it and, suddenly, his golden eyes gleaming. A few seconds, a golden pill came out of his palm. He instantly swallowed the pill and recovered his strength. An energy impact inside him and slink off from controlling his mind.

"What the⸻" Hyperion was surprised. 

"I will not let you harmed my people!" in his indignant tone of voice.

"Curse you, Kairo!" Hyperion releases his wrathfulness. 

He diverted in front of Hyperion. "This won't be your lucky day, my friend."

And now, he has a chance to catch the necklace from Hyperion. They are both holding the chain while they are floating in the air. It is a long way distance from a two-story building. 

"Release it, Kairo! It's mine now!" Hyperion was infuriated.

"Desperado! (Desperate!) You never own it." He tightened his grip on his necklace. He doesn't want to give it to him.

Their muscle tendons came out as they wielded their force while holding the necklace. They are just like kids playing with a toy and keep on fighting until something unexpected happened.

The silver chain disrupted caused the pendant carelessly to fall off together with the silver chain. At the pace of circumstances, they did not prevent it from plunging from their hands. What to expect? They both used their forces to grab the odd thing. They also move promptly to chase the necklace but, it falls faster than they expected. The Time Stone has a hefty powerful force inside. They were both surprised when it reached the paved road and split into two.

Hyperion hurries to get the fallen half-piece of Time Stone Cyrstal while Kairo searched for the other half-piece. He also used his vision power to find the stone but, he couldn't find it anywhere.

On the other hand, Hyperion quickly fled the place while carrying the half-piece. He wants to follow him but, he needs to find the other half. Kairo remained there to look around and find it. After a while, he noticed a group of young people coming in his direction while running. He vanished and diverted into the middle of the sky. From there, he saw the enormous destruction they made from the battle between them. 

He slightly raised both hands and released a kind of energy. He will use his remained power to reverse the time back to normal. After he did, he took a deep sighed and left the place with dismal.

Meanwhile, the silver chain is automatically attached to the broken Time Stone pendant inside an establishment. It also gleamed when the reattached moments emerged. After a while, its blue light gradually faded.

THE NEXT DAY, Weng reopened her grocery store. She was with other staff that were already waiting there. When they entered, her employees went to their respective places to get started. She walked between the aisles of snacks items corner when she noticed something on the floor. She could see it clearly because the tiles are pure white, and it is in the middle. She immediately took it and went to the cashier's counter.

"Jane, who owns this?" at the same time, he showed the necklace to Jane.

The cashier looked at it carefully. "I don't know, Ma'am. I'll ask them."

"Okay. When someone claims, just let me know that I have it."

Jane nodded. "Yes, Ma'am Weng."

She turned around and went to her office. As she sat and made a look at her inventory stocks in the paper, she thought about the odd necklace beside her. She's bothered but needs to finish her day-to-day works.

A WEEK LATER, still no one claimed the necklace. Weng also peeked at the CCTV but, no one left it in her store. She was still wondering about that thing because it was already on the tiles. Finally, she just decided to take the necklace to her home.

She hangs it in the corner of her room with decorations. She's going to sleep and turned off the light. Her lampshade is open with a dim light. However, something caught her attention to the necklace hanging in the corner. It suddenly glints like a luminous. Out of curiosity, she moved towards it. It's brighter when she reached it closer and gently touched the necklace. She realized it was different from all the stones she had seen before and was stunned by the blue light it has. There's something that pushed her to wear it. She took it from the hook and put it on her neck without uncertainty. As she wore it, she felt a strange force. Intense energy that covers her soul body and something has a connection from the stone. After a while, the stone has stopped gleaming. She thought it's an ordinary odd necklace but, she never removes it from her neck. She turned back on her bed and took a rest.
