2141 Words
IN THE LATE AFTERNOON, Kairo fixes the saddle and rein of his white horse. He was in the expansive backyard of his mansion. The place was a breathtaking view. It has brimming green natural surroundings with trees, bushes, animals from afar, and mountain views. While he is fixing the lace, he senses the motion of footsteps walking towards him. Besides being immortal, he has many senses that could quickly identify his surroundings, even the tiny things in the universe. But, he couldn't sense his rival Hyperion in every edge of the dimensional world. That beast! "Thank god I found you here." The woman said behind her. "You know, I have been looking at you all over the mansion, and my goodness!" "Then why you shouldn't ask my caretaker where I am?" he asks. He doesn't even try to look at her glance.  "Huh? How could I ask your caretaker? She doesn't know how to speak English. I'm running out of blood." Her voice sounds annoying but teeny-weeny witty. He suddenly stopped what he was doing and turn around. He saw the woman's lovely face with chestnut brown eyes staring at his gaze. The woman looks stunning with a ponytail hairstyle. He has never been attractive to mortals, but it seems different from the others. He gives her an authentic look. "It is not my problem anymore. Why are you looking at me? We already have talked about your rebirth and the time stone. Isn't that enough to you?" "Wow! So, this is my fault? You promise me that you will try to take me back into the present time." "Did I say that?" He put his arms on his chest. "As I remember, I will try to take you back if you will give me that thing in your neck. But, it won't happen, right?" "Ah.. Don't give that damn⸻" "Don't try to infuriate me, young woman!" He manipulative said. "If you push me to take you at that era, you will put me at risk. You will go with me to search for him whenever he has been. If you insist on going back, you will stay here forever!" his voice sounded rough. The woman stared at him with a sudden sad feeling. Tears are coming from her eyes and start to fall from her rosy cheeks. He starts to be pitiful while he adopts her dismal emotion. The woman wipes her tears, looks falter, and turn around walks back to the mansion. Kairo moves fast and uses his flashes to stop her. She gently holds her right arms. "Hey!" The woman takes a glance at his hands while holding her arms. She slowly turns to him with the same emotion as earlier. How has he been so rude to the beautiful eyes he ever saw? "I'm…sorry! Come with me. I will show you how it goes." She stayed and did not move. "Don't worry. I will take you back even if it is all about my existence at risk." Suddenly, the woman moves and goes with him. They walk towards his horse, waiting on them as he never let go of her hands. The woman stays silent as he guides her to mount in. She's also never complained and heard her mumbles. He mounts on the horse together with her and rides along the broad plain. In a far distance, there's an open hole with magical blue energy surrounds it. It is the dimensional time and space portals. It is connected to the young man's golden eyes because his eyes can open the doorways to another dimension. He will take Weng to where she belongs even though he knows that he might take the risk in the end. As they traveled, he felt the woman's amusement at the same time still confused. She did not move nor asking any questions as she always does. They pass through the portal again and enter a dimensional world covered by the whole light source. Later on, they switch into a paradise place. There is a sudden change of place and time as he manages. Kairo gently pulled the horse's leash as a sign that he needed to slow down. The woman remained silent and, he feels the sudden strange aura came from her as their close to each other.  He has been amazed by the natural scent of energy that woman has. But only to suppress this kind of feelings, he must not have an especial attraction to a mortal like her. They stopped at a vast meadow surrounded by beautiful flowers. There is a cherry blossoms tree in the middle of it, and it blooms. He first got off the horse at the same time as he supported the woman to mount off. "What are we going to do here?" it was only then that she asked him. "As I said, I'll take you back." He approached the blossoms tree. The woman followed him. When he was in front of the tree, he put his right palm to the stem of the big tree then, and his eyes suddenly light up. He opened the dimensional portal as their race forbid. That was the only way he thought for the woman even though he knew it would be the end of his precious life. As long as he does not have the time stone crystal anymore, his life is worthless. "Now, it is your time to go." His voice tone gently while restraining himself. "You can return to your world, but I can't promise you if it is safe then. Bring that necklace, too, because I know I won't be able to use that either." She slowly walked until she passed by him. He felt her hesitation to cross over to the other dimension. She faced him again while he just kept staring at her glimpse. "Kairo, are you sure? I know that my actions have not been good lately. This thing is not what we should be doing. It will be the end of your life, right?" in her compassionate words. "It doesn't matter anymore. Go ahead. Go before I release it before I change my mind." He showed no trace of emotion to the woman again. He did not want to feel pity for her even more than he was going to suffer. "But⸻" "You will go, or you will trap her forever? Don't mind me, woman. I can handle this matter." The woman just bowed and then faced the portal again. She walked through to get in. As Kairo watched her, he thought something. Maybe, this is the end. Thank you for the thousand years I have been in this world. Forgive me, my father. I have not fulfilled my duty to balance the time. I failed. I'm sorry. Moments later, he felt the blurring of his eyes. He could also feel the gradual flow of sticky liquid in his eyes side. But he still tried to take a glimpse of that beautiful face one last time. The woman was already facing him as she felt sorry. The woman tried to return when she saw the edge of his golden eyes was slowly bleeding. But she could not cross back because he had already blocked her way with transparent energy. "Kairo!"  He heard the woman screams and smote the transparent barrier. But his decision is final to release the woman even without uncertainty.  Meanwhile, in Weng's case, she slammed hard the transparent energy that was blocking her towards the young man. She saw from the eyes of Kairo that it was suffering from pain. The blood keeps flowing from the edges of his eyes. No! Kairo! I do not want to leave you! Without you, what would our world be supposed to? How can we restore the balance of the world if you are gone? Damn! Stop this! She still did not stop beating. After a while, the young man simultaneously out of her sight, and the portal tunnel closed completely. "No! Kairo! Kairo!" She yelled. But the time stone crystal crossed his mind. "Right! The necklace!" She safely holds it with both hands. "If you hear me, I beg you to please take me back to Kairo. Could you take me back to the person who owns you? I promise to fulfill my destiny with him. I promise to restore your immense power just for the sake of humanity. Please! Please take me back to him! Take me!" she prayed and pleads. After a while, her necklace suddenly turned into blue light. The blue light covered the whole portals and traveled across. She turns her sight to the other side because of the blue light gleaming. Suddenly, a force pushes her to go back. She released her grip on the necklace then prepared to run through the visibility of blue light. I need to get back to him! Kairo, wait for me! She lifts the lower edge of his dress and then runs fast as she could. Although it is hard to stumble across that powerful force, she will handle it for the sake of the young man and those who depend on the balance of the world. Just a little bit! I am there, Kairo Middlestone! Her voice echoed.  In a flash moment, Weng across through the portal where she had entered earlier. With the colossal force impact inside the dimensional, Weng was able to escape. Her slightly floating, and she could see the young man who would almost fall to the ground. The portal immediately close, and the time force burst. They bumped into each other and fall together. "Aahh!" she shouted. The time has stopped as she thoughts. She did not feel any physical pain while she was over with him. She quickly moves and looks at him. "No!" Her two palms covered his face. "Kairo! Wake up! Kairo!" She put her right ear to his mouth. "She's still breathing." She turns to him again. "It is not possible! You will not die! W-what am I going to do?!" she was tremulous. She might do something, or else he will die. She took a deep breath first, and then she kissed him. There was something across her mind to do that thing to him. She feels strange energy while kissing him gently until she closes her eyes. I beg you, the magical stone of time and space, bring him back. When their lips parted, she opens her eyes and praying that her kiss was worthwhile. At that moment, she glances at Kairo's golden eyes that already opened. He also seemed surprised at what she did. Her face was covered by great emotions when Kairo still alive.  "Kairo, you are alive!" She trembles said. Her tears slowly flowed down her cheeks.  He gently wiped her tears on her cheeks. "I don't want to see a woman in tears." She smiles while sniffing. "You are still kidding, and I almost lost you! You're crazy, Kairo! You know in yourself what you did was dangerous, but you still insisted! On the other hand, I am a fool, I also agreed. You're annoying!" she smiled tearfully. Kairo moves to get up and help her out of their awkward situation. She lay at the top of him while staring at each other.  "Why did you come back? I told you to go home." "Eh... Should I return by that? If my world has a connection to you, the time, all eras, it will also be useless. Do you think I can live peacefully there too?" "Why did you kiss me?" He did not answer her. She turns to him. "Huh? A kiss? Aaahh…" She thought of an alibi. "I thought it was like what happened to Snow White. When I saw that you had lost your consciousness as I headed in your direction and we fell to the ground, I thought you were sleeping. The young prince kissed Snow White. Then after a while, Snow White just woke up. I just thought it might be like that." "Then you are my princess?" "No." She responded quickly. "I'm one of the seven dwarfs." "Oh, the dwarf kissed me. Disgusting!" he chuckles. For the first time, she heard the young man laugh and smiled as well. After all, it will be the start of a good friendship. "Kairo, from now on, I'll be with you. I'm going to look for Chaperon!"  "It's Hyperion," he corrects her. "Ah... It sounds like that." "Let's go. We need to go back to my place." He stood up and showed her open hands to her. She smiles at him. "Alright!" She reached his hands and stood up. Kairo and Weng walk together towards the white horse waiting for them. They ride on it across to the dimensional place where they are.
