HINDI ako nakapag-concentrate sa dinner namin. My mind was too occupied by the upcoming revelations. Kinakabahan ako. I've always wanted the truth, but can I handle it? Ignorance is bliss, sabi nga ng iba. What you don't know won't hurt you raw. Pero mas gugustuhin kong masaktan kesa magmistulang bulag sa katotohanan. Reality was scary but I had to be strong and fight it.
The silence was unusual. Hindi gaanong nag-uusap ang parents namin. How I wish naro'n ang daddy ko kasi siya ang palaging nagbubukas ng masasayang topic. Magaling magdala ng conversation si daddy kaya I was sure that he could easily break the ice and put us in a lighter mood. But he wasn't there so we had to endure the awkward and tension-filled silence.
