Chapter 7

I was about to ask more details about the accident to confirm that he's referring to us when my phone suddenly vibrated, getting my attention. I read my secretary and Floyd's message when I heard another boat approaching towards our way. "Hijo! Mangingisda ka na naman!" I heard Mang Nardo shouted. Guess he was talking to the person from the other boat. I hissed then started to compose a reply for them. "Opo, Mang Nardo." My thumb stopped midways when I heard a very deep voice of a man, it's so manly. Just enough to catch everyone's attention. I looked at the other side of the sea, looking for the boat but, unfortunately I didn't saw the man's face. My jaw dropped when I saw a topless man's back, his broad shoulders look so fine. His tanned skin is covered with sweat or the sea water? I don't know, maybe both. I am currently facing his sexy back, so I have the freedom to shamelessly stare at him, he's too busy fixing his fish net. I looked down on his clothed butt and thick thighs. Even his arms and thighs look so full, just enough muscles for his big frame and height. My lips twitched then I took a glanced at my pale skin. Tan skin. Will that suit me? I flinched when I felt my phone vibrated again. Waking me from my random thoughts. Right, I am a man. I shouldn't be thinking and praising someone's body, specially if it is a man and not a woman. After I typed something on my phone, I tried to took a glance on that man again, but we're far from him already, all I can remember now is his stretching biceps while throwing his net on to the sea. I made myself busy by taking some clips and pictures of the sea, I kept on updating Floyd. For them not to worry about me, especially his dad. My guardian who took care of me. Naiinggit siya, alam ko 'yon. Guess he won't stop pestering me and his dad. He'll also ask for a vacation for sure. And his dad will say no, knew it already. I blinked rapidly when the strong wind slapped my face, I rubbed my eyes and after that I saw the white sand of the Island, I can even see the tall structure of the hotel and other houses that are located on the high land. "Nandito na tayo." anuns'yo ni Mang Nardo tapos ay tumalon pababa mula sa kan'yang bangka, muli niya itong itinulak tapos ay muling inilabas ang hagdang gawa sa may kanipisang kahoy bago ako inalalayan na bumaba. I lightly brushed my Birko Flor Birkenstock sandals that I am wearing on the clean and fine sand of the island. I smiled sadly. When I was 16, I didn't appreciate any scenery of this island back then because I was so eager to go back to the city. What a fool boy I was. "Sir." Mang Nardo called, "Ito na po ang mga gamit niyo, ayon po pala ang hotel na tutuluyan niyo." he said then pointed at the hotel located on the high land. I nodded, "Thank you, Mang Nardo." I said then handed him the extra payment I fished out from my wallet. His eyes widen when he saw a couple of thousand pesos I'm handing. He shook his head then started to wave his hands, rejecting the extra payment I am giving. "Please accept it," I faked a cough, "Baka... sainyo rin po ako magpa-tour sa iba pang isla." I scolded myself inside my brain when I spoke my not so organize tagalog sentence. This is so embarrassing. Mang Nardo looks convince but not satisfied with my answer, he was still thinking twice when he accepted the money. I brought some cold cash with me because I am not sure if they have ATM machines here or if they're accepting card as a payment. "Salamat, Sir." he said happily while showing me his big bright smile. I nodded then asked for some directions before lifting my luggage and walking away. The hotels on the high land is a bit far. I looked around. Trying to find an easier way to go up there. Or anyone, who can bring my luggage there. Okay, all I could see are boats there's no other transportation or way to get in there, I guess? Just by walking, hell, let me make my head believe that I'll do this for exercise, yeah. Damn, I didn't see this coming.
