Chapter 5

(Ashley's POV)

She can't move.She is stunned.Sino ba naman ang hindi?

Leche lang.

HD looks so yummy and believe it or not..mukhang disente.Walang bahid ng kamanyakan sa hitsura nito.

Naka maroon na polo shirt ito and dark brown pants.He has leather shoes on.Even his smile doesn't make her uncomfortable.

Kaya naman palang magpaka-disente ng hari ng mga bastos at manyak.

Oppss Ashley! Don't be taken by his looks now.Remember..a leopard can't change its spots.--she advised herself.

Mahirap totally na paniwalaan that Jett Alejandre can change overnight.

(Jett's POV)

He is in heaven.

Fucking s**t!

He hasn't imagined feeling and using that word to describe how he feels unless he has his o****m.

But by just looking at her this morning is really something else.She is the most beautiful angel on earth.

He is in deep trouble...

Ngayon lang niya naramdaman ang ganito.

Ashley is very lovely..but she seems  lovelier  each time he sees her kahit madalas sinusupladahan siya nito.

He doesn't like her attitude towards him..but strangely...he sort of get it now.Ngayon na talaga nagsisink-in sa kanya na hindi ito basta-bastang babae.He feels na hindi lang ito nagpapakipot.

She really doesn't like him.

Is he challenged?

Yes!

He had never made any effort to woo or pursue a woman before.

Does he like that she doesn't want  him like he wants her?

No.

 But he can live with it dahil alam niya magiging sila din.And it will be very very soon..yun ang sisiguraduhin niya.He wants to bed her but he doesn't want a one night stand or a short-term relationship.He wants more than that....

Si Ashley na yata ang magpapatino sa kanya...

Finally...mukhang magkaka-direction na din ang buhay niya just like what his parents want.

He is not denying that he just wanted to f**k her nung una niyang makita ito.

But  seeing her in the cafe had also  aroused  a lot of feelings  inside him na mahirap ipaliwanag.

He got really jealous kay Dale at sa kasama nitong lalake sa resort.

He doesn't like men looking at her.

Dati wala siyang pakialam.

He screws   beautiful women then leave  them once his s****l appetite is satisfied.That was his game.Yun lang ang gusto niyang gawin dati.

But double f**k!

Ang daming nagbago after seeing her.

Sa  parking lot  pa lang ng cafe inupakan na niya  si Dale.He thought meron silang something ni Ashley.

"s**t dude! What's  that for?!" his friend asked with his eyes wide habang sapo ang sikmura.

Kinwelyuhan niya ito.Seth and Andy are just quiet while looking on.Ayaw nilang makialam.Mahirap na.Nabugbog  na silang tatlo  minsan ni Jett when  he caught  them sniffing weed .Magaling sa martial arts si Jett  dahil highschool pa lang black belter na ito sa taekwondo and sanay sa  basagan ng mukha.Basagulero ito lalo nung nakatira ito sa  Los Angeles.He studied there until high school.He was always involved in brawls.Bago pa lumala ito,his parents,especially his father, decided to bring him home to the Philippines.Sa lola sa  father's side ito  tumira until nag-graduate ito ng business management.Nagbalik-balik na lang ito from the Philippines to  the US nung magsimula itong mag-modelo.

Jett  may be a badass  and mahilig ito sa  magagandang babae, umiinom and occasionally naninigarilyo but one thing he doesn't do is drugs.Matapos silang halos malumpo nito that day..he warned them na kapag hindi pa sila tumigil..he will tell their parents at bahala na ang mga  magulang ng mga ito what they will do to their sons.

"Why the f**k were you holding her hand?! Nanligaw ka ba sa kanya? You like her? SAGOT?!" galit na sabi niya.He was about to hit him again but Dale raised his hands in surrender.

"Dude hindi! Schoolmate ko lang siya dati! Yun lang!" sabi nito habang tumakbo sa kabilang side ng kotse.

He kicked the  tire rim  of Dale's car.

"Siguraduhin mo lang! You know what I will do to you if you f**k with me! I don't want to see you near her!" he said in a bone-chilling voice.

Then he  almost strangled the man she was with yesterday.Mas matangkad siya dito and he has more muscles.He had never lost any fist fight so he is sure na kayang-kaya niya ito.

He saw him got out of the cafe and sinundan niya ito.When he had the chance,he did choke hold on him.He put enough pressure to stop him from moving.If he will press harder,the asshole can lose consciousness.

"A-Anong k-kailangan mo?!" takot na tanong ng lalake.

Medyo hinigpitan niya ang braso na nasa leeg nito.

"Why the f**k are you with Ashley? Ano ka niya!" He asked with clenched teeth.

"W-Wala..k-kaibigan siya ng ex ko.S-Sinamahan ko lang siya dahil ayaw niyang nagdi-drive ng malayo." sagot nito.

He put more pressure on his neck." Are you telling the truth?!" he asked.

"O-Oo! I can prove it! M-May mga pictures kami ng ex ko sa cp ko." sagot nito.

When he realized that ex nga ito ng kaibigan at kasosyo ni Ashley, he let him go.

"Leave! Ako na ang maghahatid sa kanya bukas! Shut your f*****g mouth kung ayaw mong masaktan!  Google me..Jett  Miranda Alejandre...in case hindi mo ako kilala! Don't ever mess with me!" he said before smacking him on the face.

Napasandal sa pader si Clyde habang hawak ang panga while writhing in pain.

Hindi pa siya nakakabawi, sinuntok na  naman siya ni Jett sa mukha .

"This will be the last time you will be near her!" 

---------at the moment-----

Ashley raised one brow.

"What's this Mr.Alejandre? May pictorial ka ba dito? Where are the crew?" she asked.

Lalong lumapad ang ngiti ni Jett and he started to move forward to her.

Inilapit nito ang mga bulaklak sa kanya then shook his head from left to right.

"I have no pictorial,love.Actually I am thinking of ending my contract sa IRM.Hindi na din ako mag-rerenew ng kontrata sa agency ko sa US.I will stop modelling." he said which left her speechless.

(Flashback)

She doesn't like male models Jettie.She said mga babaero daw.Paano yan?-- naiiling na tanong sa kanya ni Rina last night.

After niyang ihatid ang dalaga sa hotel room nito, he met them in the hotel's bar.

He narrowed his eyes before sipping his booze.

"I don't think uubra ang charm mo sa kanya cousin.She is unlike the usual women you date." komento naman ni Luis.

He leaned on his seat as he swirls his drink in the glass.

"There is no f*****g way I will let that happen.I  will strangle her first  before she becomes like them." he said seriously.

"Jettie! Don't say such a morbid  thing!" shocked na sabi ni Rina.

He finished his drink with one gulp bago ibinagsak ang baso sa lamesa.

"You know me.I am not just saying it..I will do it.And if she doesn't like male models..then mas mabuti pang tanggapin ko na ang offer ni daddy.Maybe it's time to help him with the business.I am getting bored with modelling anyway." sabi niya before tumayo.  

Nagkatinginan ang mag-nobyo as if asking each other kung seryoso ba ito. 

"Good night guys.Remember what we talked about..Ashley is mine tomorrow.Enjoy the honeymoon cruise." dagdag niya.

Wedding gift niya ang honeymoon cruise sa dalawa...kapalit ng ginawa  at gagawin pa ng mga ito  para masolo niya si Ashley.

(End of flashback)

"And don't call me Mr.Alejandre dahil nililigawan na kita." he said while nakangiti pa din na makabutas panty.

Napakurap si Ashley but didn't get the flower.

What? Did he just say he is making me  ligaw?-- she asked herself in disbelief.

She find that hard to believe.She is betting her professional fee today na ni minsan hindi pa nanligaw ang HD na ito.She knows he will say and do anything to get inside  her panty.

"Pwede ba Mr.Alejandre nagmamadali ako! I have no time for your games." she made a move to go past him para pindutin ang button ng elevator but hinarang nito ang katawan.

"Please love..get these.I had them picked especially for you." he coaxed  while handing her the flowers.

She rubbed her forehead then sighed habang masama pa din ang tingin niya kay Jette.She has a feeling na hindi siya nito titigilan so she might as well take them.

"OKay! " sabi niya sabay kuha ng mga ito."Now move! I need to go downstairs!" masungit  na sabi niya.Wala siyang pakialam if he is so tall and all muscles.Hindi siya nasisindak dito!

Hindi muna ito kumilos ,instead he said," How bout breakfast first? Hindi kasi matuloy-tuloy ang dinner natin." 

"N-O!" she rasped bago mabilis na lumakad palayo dito.She will just use the stairs.

She heard him calling her pero hindi niya ito pinansin.

She went to the gazebo where they will have the pictorial.Inayos niya ang tripod niya and camera.Any moment now darating na sila Rina and Luis.

She was checking her laptop when she got a call from Rina.

"Hi.Andito na ako." masiglang bati niya.

"Ash..I don't know how to say this..may emergency sa bahay.Pababa na sana kami ni Luis but my sister called.We have to go home.Can we set the shoot  next time?Kahit siguro sa mas malapit na place na lang. Susunduin ka na lang ng driver namin later in the afternoon.So sorry talaga!" sabi ni Rina in a panicky voice.

Natutop niya ang noo.

"No it's okay.I will just use the public transportation.No need for your driver to come all the way here." she said.

"Are you sure? Nakakahiya naman sayo.Usually kapag hapon free na naman siya,he can pick you up.Pasensiya ka na talaga." the other woman sounds really apologetic.

"No worries.I will be fine.Don't send your driver anymore.Call me na lang kapag ready na kayong mag-pictorial ulit." sabi niya before ending the call.

Umiiling na lang na inilagay niya isa-isa ang gamit sa bag.

"Good luck to me." bulong niya sa sarili.

She saw some tricycles yesterday.Siguro naman hindi malayo ang bus station.Buti na lang hindi naman ganun kabigat ang dala niya.

When she turned around nagulat siya so  she let out a sound of surprise.

"Ano ka ba?! Are you gonna give me a heart attack?" galit na tanong niya kay Jett.

Again..hayun na naman ang ngiti nito na  nakakakibot ng peanut.(but not hers of course)

She just frowned at him then naglakad paalis.

"Where are you going? " he asked.As expected,sinudan siya nito.

Hindi niya ito sinagot .She just continued walking.

"Love...can we have that breakfast now?" pangungulit nito.

She let out a sound of frustration bago tumigil sa paglalakad and glare at him.

"Can you just please stop this? I am not interested okay? Isa pa may boyfriend na ako! And he won't like it kapag nalaman niya yang ginagawa mo!' Baka mabugbog ka pa nun!" she said out of exasperation.

Kahit ano sasabihin niya tigilan lang siya ng HD na ito.Wish niya lang hindi niya kailangang mag-produce ng instant boyfriend niya.

She almost smiled when his grin disappeared and his brows knitted.

I think it's working!-- she congratulated herself.

She swallowed a giggle then naglakad ulit.

What the f**k?! Rina said she is single!-- naisip ni Jett.

He almost cussed  aloud and grabbed her arm  when the clear side of his brain said that she is  just probably  bluffing to shoo him.

He had to shake his head and sighed heavily to suppress  his anger.Kung hindi lang niya inaawat ang sarili malamang he will kiss her savagely to punish her..Kahit na mukhang hindi naman totoo..he won't allow  something like that to come out of her mouth ever again!

But he can't let the real him surface..not yet.He doesn't want to ruin what he started but may kailangan siyang linawin sa dalaga later.

Cursing quietly, he walked after her.

"Love..wait up.Saan ka pupunta?" kunwari  hindi niya alam na tanong niya.

She is now heading outside the resort.

"Home!" she said.

"I can take you home.Walang sasakyan ng ganito kaaga dito.Gagabihin ka." he told her.

He talked to the leader of the TODA and the members early in the morning.He gave them  5,000 pesos each   basta huwag lang bibiyahe papunta sa resort from 7 AM to 1 PM today.He told them na he has to do that para mapasagot ang nililigawan niya.To his surprise, the men were more than willing to do it kahit daw walang bayad.But he gave them the money anyway.Sabi niya maagang  balato niya sa kanila .They were delighted and nagkatuksuhan pa.

Napatigil siya sa paglalakad.

She remembered na kahapon may mga nakita naman siyang tricyle na bumibiyahe papunta sa resort.Malamang pinagttripan siya ng m******s na ito.

She was about to say her thought when he spoke again.

"I think they have their annual event in the town kaya ganun.Well kung okay lang sayo na gabihin ka ng sa pag-uwi..you can wait for them.But if you want  since paluwas na din ako..I can give you a ride." kaswal na sabi nito.

Nakipaglabanan siya ng tingin dito.

Can she trust him? Baka kasi kung ano ang gawin nito sa kanya.Hari pa naman ito ng kamanyakan at kabastusan.

"I am actually harmless love.I won't do anything you don't want me to do.Isa pa..I am your suitor di ba? Ayaw kong ma-bad shot sayo." nakangising sabi pa nito as if knowing what she was thinking.

She shook her head in disbelief.Feeling talaga ang HD na ito.She doesn't remember agreeing na magpapaligaw siya dito.

"I don't want anything bad happening to you so you are safer with me.Balita ko may muntik ng ma-r**e malapit dito.Buti na lang may tumulong." Jett said na pumalatak pa.

He can't help grinning while he occasionally looks at Ashley who is sulking on her seat.

"Are you sure na hindi ka gutom love? We can stop somewhere to grab a bite." sabi niya.

"Hindi ako gutom!" inis na sabi niya.

She felt that he tricked her dahil mukha namang walang event sa dinaanan nila like what he said.When she insisted na magba-bus na lang siya,sabi nito madalang lang ang bus sa lugar na yun.She had no choice but to ride with him.

Actually nagugutom na nga siya.She didn't have dinner last night dahil ayaw na niyang lumabas baka makita na naman niya and lalaking ito.She only ate some snacks na dala niya.But she will never admit to this badass  that she is hungry.

She looked outside the window.

"Here." sabi ni Jett while he put something on her lap.

She frowned when she saw a sandwich and a small bottle of water .

"Saan galing to?" she asked.

"I bought them in the  hotel's cafe  this morning.Since ayaw mo naman kasing sumamang mag-breakfast sa akin,nawalan na din ako ng gana.Pauwi na  talaga ako kanina and babaunin ko na lang nga sana yan.I want you to have them.Mukhang hindi ka nag-dinner kagabi." sabi nito.

Lalong kumunot ang noo niya.

"Paano mo namang nalaman na hindi ako kumain?" she asked.

"I waited for you at the hotel's lobby.Baka kasi magbago ang isip mo and have dinner with me but the cafe and the restaurant closed already hindi ka pa din bumaba." sabi pa nito.

Wow...si Jett Alejandre,ang hari ng mga playboy..hinintay siya?She can't help chewing the inside of her bottom lip with that thought.

"I can't have your food.Mukhang you need it more dahil hindi ka din nag-almusal and you are driving. " she said as she looks at his hunky body.

  Alam niya ang mga lalaki malakas kumain.And since he is all muscles, she is sure that he has a big appetite for food.  

He seems to like white dahil he is again wearing a white plain shirt and a leather jacket.Bakat ang maskuladong dibdib nito and his six-pack.She felt heat came up her face ng maalala niya ang magandang katawan nito.

"We can share.Subuan mo ako while I drive." he just said.

She quickly looked away from his body guiltily.She didn't see the naughty smile on his lips.He saw her checking him out.

So ang ending para silang magjowa.

Nag-share sila sa sandwich and even sa bottled water.

Ashley has to admit na hindi naman pala ganun kasama si Jett.Maybe sasakyan na lang niya ang trip nito.Basta for her..hindi pa din ito bf material.Kung manliligaw daw ito..hahayaan na lang niya.She is pretty sure hindi naman ito tatagal.Wala lang sigurong magawa ito sa buhay ngayon  kaya siya ang napagbabalingan .

She leaned to her left again para isubo kay Jett ang last bite ng sandwich.

Muntik na niyang bawiin ang kamay when he  took hold of her wrist before taking a bite.Para siyang may naradamdamang kuryente.

After nitong kumagat, binawi agad ni Ashley ang kamay and he turned to her.He looks so yummy as he smiles at her while chewing.

Nagbaba siya ng tingin and nilamukos niya ang sandwich bag .She got the bottled water and took a sip.

"Best sandwich ever love." sabi nito after a while."Can I have a drink too?" dagdag nito.

Without looking at him, iniabot niya ang bottled water na ininuman niya.

She heard him chuckle nang kinuha ito and gulped the remaining water.

She leaned her head on the seat and closed her eyes.

"I have never wooed a woman.Ikaw lang.I will do it because I want to prove to you na seryoso ako.I know hindi ka kagaya ng mga babae na nakilala ko.Give me a chance love, and I will show you that I am the man for you." biglang sabi nito sa seryosong boses.

She opened her eyes and turned her head to him.

His right profile looks serious.

"Do you know what you are saying?Baka mapasubo ka." sabi niya.

He threw her a glance.

"I have never been serious ..ngayon lang.I will make you happy.We will be happy."  he said while his eyes are on the road.

"Sorry but I find that hard to believe." she said.She now has her eyes on the dashboard.

"If you don't want me grabbing other women's asses on the ramp..then I will stop modelling." seryosong sabi nito which made her look at him again.Medyo kumunot ang noo niya.

"You will do that?" she asked na may duda sa tono.

He didn't answer.

"Anong ginagawa mo?" tanong niya when the car slowed down and Jett pulled over the right side of the road.

He turned to her when they were parked.

His eyes had turned dark as he looks at her.

"  Matagal ko na ding gustong may mabago sa buhay ko.I am almost 28 and I think it's time for me to be serious in life.Hindi naman panghabang-buhay ang pagiging modelo ko.My dad had been wanting me to help him with our business.I have been thinking about it." he said.

She doesn't know what to say  kaya nakatingin lang siya dito.She can't believe it pero he sounds sincere and  really serious.

"Maybe you are what I need.Won't you give me a chance, love?Don't you want to save me from my sinful life?"may himig ng biro ang huling sinabi nito.

She couldn't stopped herself from smiling too.

She let out a light laugh  then straightened from her seat.

"Kung gusto mo talagang magbago..you will.You don't need anyone to help you." she told him.

He leaned forward and traced the side of her face with his finger while looking intently at her.

"I need you..." tila nagmamakaawa ang paos nitong boses.

She felt her throat went dry but she can't seem to move.

He cupped her chin then mas lumapit ito sa kanya.His face is a few inches from hers.

She closed her eyes.Sabi na nga ba niya iiskor sa kanya ang mokong na ito eh.Kung ano-ano pa ang sinabi.

Minus pogi points!-- she told herself.

She felt his pleasant breath on her face.Hindi niya alam kung itutulak nito ito or not.May isang parte sa kanya na gustong maramdaman kung paano ito humalik.

Then he released her .She felt the car moved again.

Whoaaaa! What happened? Si Mr.HD nag-papaimpress talaga?-- she asked herself.

Akala niya hahalikan siya nito but mukhang nagpapaka-gentleman!

" You are worth pursuing love.But let me make one thing clear..." his eyes which were on the road  a few seconds ago, locked with hers.

"I know you are single.And I don't like hearing you mention any man but me! You can't  entertain suitors.So  pagdating natin ng Manila,  tell them to steer clear of you because I don't like it.." he said in a chilly voice while staring at her with steely eyes.
