Lucifer couldn't understand. His father was also abusive and would beat him up while his mother would suffocate him when he was sleeping. They had the same situation yet the girl remained kind and humble towards others while he ended up killing his parents.
"What's your name?" This was the first time Lucifer had asked someone what their name was.
Usually he won't care about anyone while the others would introduced themselves to him.
"I don't have one." The girl replied.
"Why not?"
"Apparently when my mother gave birth to me, my father was drinking his lungs out. My mom waited for him to come so they can both give me a name but he never did, so my mom told the nurse to give me the name Girl."
It became silent between the two of them until Lucifer had an idea.
"How about I give you one?" Lucifer suggested.
"Really? That would be cool!" The girl beamed.
"Angel, Angel suits you because..." Lucifer stopped in mid sentence as he realized what he was about to say.
"Because?" The girl leaned closer to hear his reason but Lucifer turned away.
"Nothing..." He tried to hide his blush and calmed his heart down for it was beating like a drum.
"Oh no, where's my Mr. Cuddles?" Lucifer was thankful that the girl who was now called Angel, didn't question of why he chose that name.
"You mean this?" Lucifer picked up the teddy that Angel was holding before and handed it to her.
"Mr. Cuddles! I'm so glad that you're safe!" She exclaimed and hugged the teddy bear. "Thank you, this was the only thing that my mom left me. I call him Mr. Cuddles because whenever I feel lonely, he's always there ready for my hugs."
Lucifer thought that she was the weirdest person he had ever met because she worries about the condition of her bear more than her.
End of Flashback
-----
"Do you still remember Angel? You gave her that name right and ever since the day you met her, we didn't really hangout anymore." Shane complained and Lucifer rolled his eyes.
"No, I don't remember. All I know is that she had forgotten about me." Lucifer narrowed his eyes and balled his fist. "She remembered everyone except for me."
'And it's all my fault.' He thought and sadness was shown in his eyes.
"You know, you don't have to blame yourself for what happened back then." Shane pointed out making Lucifer sigh.
"It was my fault, if I was only there that time then… she would still remember me..." Lucifer trailed off.
"So you do remember her, anyways if this girl you met earlier is the real Angel from before then you should make it up to her. And like I said, you don't need to blame yourself. It wasn't your fault in the first place." Shane said and Lucifer raised an eyebrow.
"And what if she's not the real Angel?" Lucifer questioned.
"Well, I can guarantee you that it is her. I already did some background check and her past pretty much the same as the Angel you met sixteen years ago." Shane handed Lucifer a small device that shows the location of Angel. "I might have bump onto her earlier and accidentally dropped a tracker in her pocket so don't blame me for my clumsiness."
"How did you get the information?" Lucifer wondered.
"Hello? You're talking to Shane Johnson here! The best hacker in the world! You may be the best Assassin but you still can't beat me when it comes to hacking. Hey I think that rhymes! But anyways, after I found out where she lived I hacked into her systems and that’s how I got all the information." Shane bragged and Lucifer rolled his eyes.
"Whatever, let's go."
While Angel was sleeping on the table, Shane and Lucifer sneaked in using the back door.
"Don't make too much noise." Lucifer told Shane.
"Easy for you to say, I'm not Assassin you know. I don't have those silent walks whatever you call it that's on your feet." Shane
"You mean skills?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow and Shane rolled his eyes.
"Yeah yeah whatever." Shane scoffed and accidentally bumped the bin. "Like what I told you, I don't have... the skills on the feet okay?!"
"Just... wait here." Lucifer demanded and went to Angel's room.
He saw how she was sleeping on the table, drooling all over the paper. This reminds him of the time where he always find Angel sleeping on random places while waiting for him to return. He smiled as he already knows what to do next.
He prepared her bed then went to Angel. He put the strands of hair that was on her face at the back of her ear. He then picked her up bridal and tucked her in her bed. If Shane was correct that she's the real Angel, he made a promise that he will never leave her again.
"I hope you remember me one day, we swore to each other that we'll always be friends no matter what happens. Together and forever." Lucifer whispered while caressing Angela's cheek.
"Psst! We need to go soon! Lead will be looking for us anytime now, remember we still have a mission in the morning!" Shane loudly whispered.
He was by the door and was on his tipsy toes, trying his best not to step on anything. Lucifer left out a sigh and glance once more at Angela before they left the place. When Angela woke up, she was a bit confused of how she ended up in her bed.
"Huh? I was pretty sure I slept on the table." She said to herself and looked around.
She went out of her bed and went towards the table. She touched the paper and felt a dried saliva on it and that's when she knew that someone might have carried her on the bed.
"Did Sean moved me? He doesn't have a key to my apartment though." She wondered and looked closely at the paper.
All of the sudden, her doorbell rang and gave her a fright.
