The Assassin

Chapter Nine

Leo had the Manager and pushed him in front of Lucifer.

"You will pay for all of this! You and your family-" Lucifer quickly ended his life by piercing his knife through his skull.

“Family? What’s that?” Lucifer questioned.

Angel was so shocked that rushed out of the cabinet when Lucifer walked towards Shane and went in front of him to protect him.

"Shane watch out!" Angel warned as she extended both of her hands. "Don't kill him please!" She pleaded and Lucifer dropped his dagger.

His body weakens as the other members saw that there is one more person alive.

"Angel I told you to stay inside the cabinet." Shane loudly whisper so only Angel could hear it.

"I don't care, I am not losing a friend!" Angel fires back and Shane slapped his face.

"Kill everyone right? Can I have this one." Kerri offered instead of asking.

He was the newest member of the Troupe and he is the 'Eye' of the group, meaning he spies on people by disguising himself as a woman so no one will suspect a thing.

"No!" Lucifer exclaimed and went in front of Angel. "She's… she's mine to kill."

"Well then hurry up and get it done with!" Patricia impatiently said then pointing her gun to Angel. "Or else I will be the one to end her life."

"Don't!" Mary put her hand in front of Patricia.

Phinks went behind Angel and placed a hand on her shoulder. Out of instinct, Angel grabbed his hand while going under his arm and twisting it behind his back. She was about to break his arms but stop when he realized who the person was. Lucifer was shocked at her self-reflex because it was him who taught her that move.

“Phinks? Is that you?” She questioned.

“Yes yes it’s me!” Phinks shouted and Angel lets go of his hand.

“Oh my Gosh I’m so sorry!” Angel apologized.

“You still got the moves.” Phinks commented and glanced at Lucifer.

“Not sure where I got it from though.” Angel stated.

"You learnt it from the best." Shane smiled.

Sadness was shown in Lucifer’s eyes as Angel remembered Phinks and Shane but not him.

"Wait..." Leo interrupted. "How did you know Shane and Phinks?"

Everyone stood still as their leader walked towards Angel.

"They're my friends." Angel replied and Leo seemed amused.

"And you're willing to sacrifice your life just to save Shane?" Leo continued getting information.

"Yes because that's what friends do." Angel commented.

"But don't you know that everyone who is still standing around you are killers?" Leo was stating a fact and Angel looked around.

"The only killer that I see is him." Angela pointed to Lucifer.

Lucifer looked away so Angel won't see the pain in his eyes.

'Angel, why can't you remember me?' Lucifer thought.

"How did you know her." This time, Leo was asking Shane.

"She was in the same orphanage as me, Phinks and Lucifer." Shane replied and Angel was a bit shocked.

"Lucifer? Who's Lucifer?" She asked and if she was right, the one who walked towards Shane was Lucifer.

"Lucifer is the one in front of you right now, the one you killed a killer." Leo nodded his head on Lucifer and Angel looked closer at him.

"If you were at the same orphanage as us, am I supposed to know you?" Angel questioned.

Shane was about to reply but Lucifer beat him up to it.

"No, you don't know me." Lucifer harshly replied before looking away.

Angel felt a stung on her heart but she ignored it because she thought that it was only the feeling of rejection.

"Leo, we need to leave now. The police are on their way." Kolleen informed and Leo nodded.

"Take her with us, I still want to get to know her more. Put a blindfold on her eyes so she doesn't know our location." Leo instructed and they all nodded.

"I'm sorry about this." Shane sincerely apologized as he placed a blindfold on Angel's eyes.

"It's fine, I'm just happy that I saw you and Phinks again." Angel smiled.

Shane glanced at Lucifer and saw the pain in his eyes. He knew so well how important Angel was in his life and forgetting that he ever existed in her life might have been frustrating for him.

"Us too." Shane commented while glancing from Lucifer and Phinks.

After placing the blindfold on her eyes, Shane gave her a piggyback ride and they all left the place before the police arrives. They all travelled through the forest without anyone tracing them and finally into their hideouts. Shane gently placed Angel on a seat and removed the blindfold, leaving Leo with her before going to Lucifer and Phinks.

"Hey bro, are you okay?” Shane asked the Assassin and he sighed.

“Would you be okay if someone important to you forgets about your existent?” Lucifer questioned and Shane tried thinking of ways to enlighten Lucifer’s mood.

“Umm… no. I think I’ll be pretty devastated.” Shane replied and Phinks hit him on the head. “Ow, that hurts!”

“Not helping.” Phinks pointed out and Shane pouted.

"You didn't have to hit me that hard." Shane whined while rubbing his head.

Not long after, Leo called everyone for a meeting.

“Alright everyone, it has been decided.” Leo started announcing as everyone assembles. “Angel is now a new member of the Phantom Troupe.”

“What!” Shane shouted in disbelief. "

“Wait is he serious?” Phinks shook his head then looked at Lucifer.

“No, I won’t allow it.” Lucifer objected. “It’s way too dangerous for her.”

“Why not? I only told her that she can work for us as a Secret agent. It was her choice.” Leo explained and Lucifer looked at Angel who was now meeting the other members. "Plus don't worry, she won't be doing anything dangerous. That's a promise.

“Why did you let her?” He questioned and Leo looked closely to his face.

“You like her don’t you?” Leo’s question caught Lucifer off-guard.
