Laura and I were still talking when I suddenly heard the galloping sound of horses.
My eyes widened when the sound was coming towards our direction. I stood up abruptly and faced Laura.
“Someone is coming. We need to leave.” I hurriedly walked towards the horse and mounted on it. “Take my hand. I will help you get up.” I said and extended my arm to Laura. She took my hand right away and I helped her mount on the horse fast.
“They are fast approaching! Hurry up, Ayesha!” she said in panic.
“Hold on tight.” I held the reins tightly and made the horse run faster. “Hiyaah!” I shouted to the horse.
“Can you try to look at our back if they are already following us?”
“Sure!”
