THE UNEXPECTED PROPOSAL

Zenniel close her eyes and takes a deep breath. She was reading those poems about vengeance and it was kinda makes her sad and somehow, a little bit frustrated. Efren was trying his best to win her approval yet here she is, Being too hard on him.
'he deserve it.' her mind retorted. Since the day that she acted that she wasn't mad at efren anymore,He does the good thing, That sometime it made her think that efren was just only acting.
As she was about to continue reading, Her cellphone vibrated that shock her body. It wasn't loud enough but the vibration is not good. Well,speaking of. Efren was calling her again. This was not the only time but eversince the day she acts to be kind.
They exchange greetings and she directly ask him why did he call her in such an hour?
"Yeah? Why do you call me?"
"I take out some food and I was hoping if we could have a lunch together."
"WHAT? YOU LEAVE MY DAUGHTER THERE? ALONE?" Her loud voice echoed to the four corners of her office.
"Well, I was just about to-"
She sighed in relief.
"I'll be there within thirty minutes.."
"Okay.. Be safe baby.."
She didn't answer and just end the call. After that, She go to maica s office, rather, to her former office.
"I was about to come in your office Ma'am Zenniel.."
"What's the matter anna?"
"Roger's subordinates tries again to hack our computer system. They we're trying to steal your latest and first book which was with a high rate.."
She sigh, and taking out her cellphone from her pocket and dial one of his friends.
"I'd like you to work on my company.."
"You should greet me first darling! It's been a long time since we haven't talk.."
She scoffs. What a boy!
"Good morning Jacob red.. I would like you to work on my company as computer programmer.."
"Well, Say please first.."
She knows jacob was just teasing her, and he won. She scoffs again before answering.
"Please Jacob.." she said while she rolled her eyes.
"Sure, Would love to.. by the way, How's my princess michelle?"
"She's still in coma.. Well You can visit her if you have time.."
"Would definitely do that.."
"Okay, Then it's settled.. Which day are you coming in?"
"By Thursday atleast.."
"Okay then.. I have some things to do. Have a good day!"
"You too.."
After the call, she insert her cellphone back on her pants and face maica, who was silently at her former seat.
"You heard me. Jacob will come here by thursday.. Sent an email to roger. I'll meet him by friday at his newly open company.."
"What? But it's-"
"Just trust me.. And I don't take no for an answer.."
"I will.."
"And also, I have to go to hospital.."
"I understand , Keep safe ma'am.."
She simply smiled at her, and after some time, It fades. Not long after, She arrived in hospital. The hallway of the hospital was too quiet. It seems like people there we're too silent. As she enter her daughter's room, She was shock, seeing efren in a white suit and a bouquet of roses in his hands. The room was also filled with decorations.
"What's this?" she asked after she regain herself from shock.
Efren smiled at her and with one knee, He kneel down. Double by her shock, Her heart beats fast.
'No, not this time again!'
"I know I have been jerk but please give me a chance to properly adressed what I have been done.. I love michelle and I never stop loving you.."
She was speechless! And she didn't even know how to respond.
'Get up yourself!!' Her mind retorted, but her body was kind of, still on shock.
"Please.. I would do all you want. Just let me love and take care of you again.."
It was a good idea that she'll accept him. Maybe his power and money will be useful in future, and besides, She wants her daughter to know his dad. It was Michelle's wish on her last birthday, that she didn't give a damn, because she hatesd efren for abandoning them in pain.
She accepts the boquet and smile a little to him.
"I would like you to try your best.. Win me. until then, We will be married!" She said with confidence. Efren smiled at him and kisses her hand, then turns to their daughter who was peacefully sleeping.
"Did you hear that baby? Mommy let's me.. We're gonna be as one, so get up now baby.. Daddy miss you so much..."
Inside her heart was a pain seeing Michelle's dad crying for her. But you can't blame her for not allowing him to see her. He look up at her and leaves a gently smile.
"Thank you.."
She turned her back and smile too, and whisper those words.
"You're welcome.."
