I'm with my dirty oversize shirt with my stinkiest smell, the mixture of sweat, odour, chimneys smoke, oil, and all. And Tadaaaah! Abby the cinderella.
Well, I am able to endure all of this because I'm really used to it. I endure the whole life carrying heavy objects, going back and forth in the house, and doing the endless tasks and commands of my nagging monster auntie.
Will I complain? No, I don't.
Do I have any choice? Of course, I don't' have
I need to live with it, to be with it. Actually my whole life I don't live it the way I live my dreams, I just live the so-called real life the way my Aunt wants it to be. Again, I don't have any choice.
"Check all the doors, Abby!"
"Give Jojo food before you sleep Abby!"
"You close also all the window in the attic"
My Auntie said after I finish all the things, see it's ENDLESS!
As I change my clothes and wash my whole body, I really smile so hard, simply because my favourite part of my day has come and that's every time I will have my dream world as I close my eyes.
"I'm home," I said with a smile on my face.
"Come here, my baby. Your mom cooks some sushi for us" My father said.
I run to my mom and give her the tightest hug "Mom, I love you. always and always" I said.
"You're really my daughter, you are so sweet, honey. Always be kind no matter what, because a golden heart is the only thing that this family can give you." Mom said.
"When you feel tired, always remember we feel the same, we have been in the same phases. It's just your turn, honey" She followed together touching my hair.
This is how my dream works, a perfect life. A perfect family, I keep asking my whole life, every time I dream I don't cry because I'm really glad and always happy every time it happens. At least I know there is a moment in my day, that I am genuinely happy.
How I wish that my dreams are my real life and my real life is my dreams. I keep hoping and dreaming that things could change and work in my favour.
I will never get tired dreaming things until it happens, I believe It will happen. Not now but one day.
"Abby, Abbbyyyy" A voice whispering outside my window.
"What are you doing here? Do you know that it's past twelve in midnight Polo" I said.
"Go out, I want to show you something. Come on, Abby" He said.
"Are you the hell serious, Polo. I don't have time with your crazy quirks, go home" I said.
"It won't take too long, just go out we will be quick" He replied.
"Arghhhh, Polo. I will kill you once my Auntie catches us!" I said and went out of my window.
We went to Polo's room, wait whatever you're thinking it's not how it happens. There's nothing happening to us, let's just go back to the story.
"Come inside, Abby," He said.
"Arggg, Polo. I'm not playing around". I replied
"We won't play, I will show you that your dream world is not just the prettiest place you could have," He said.
He closes the door of the closet, while we are sitting inside it and he opens something that turns out a galaxy like lights, and I'm really amazed.
"Yo--uu, you make this?" I asked while staring at the lights around us.
"Yes, I do Abby" He replied.
"Now, I want you to close your eyes, Abby," He said.
"Hey, what will you do? If you like me, I'm sorry Polo. I have a lot of s**t in my life and I am not ready to enter anything" I said.
"You, i***t," He said and laughed at me.
"Just follow me, you won't regret this," He said.
Then I close my eyes, take a deep breath.
And the most familiar voice go all over that little closet
"Hi, sweetheart I just want to say happy birthday Abby. You are the most precious thing I have and your mom has. Always take care and remember we love you, I love you Abby" and a sound recorder turns off.
At that very moment, a tear comes out of my eyes.
At that very moment, I don't want to open my eyes anymore.
I'm scared to open my eyes knowing that I will open my eyes without my dad in front of me.
But still, I did.
"Are you now, Okay?" Polo asked.
"You, i***t" Then we laugh.
"Why did you do this and how do you get this," I asked.
"Before I answer your question, here's to wipe out those tears," He said.
"Obviously, I sneak out of your room because you are not good at locking your own window. Secondly, I want you to know there is more than your dream world, take it from me Abby" Polo said with conviction.
"Look at this closet, this is just like you and when you open the lights that are your dreams, but the voice you heard the feeling you felt while listening to that voice recorder can be the real-life, Abby," Polo said.
"I want to pull you out, Abby. We can't promise to have the life we dream but at least the life that we should experience. The sad part, hardship, loneliness, happiness, and all. It's all part, don't be afraid I'm here" He said.
"Do you like me, Polo?" I asked.
"No, I don't" His quick responses.
"Maybe as I go above, I don't want to look down seeing you still living your dreams. I want you to live in it! Abby" He said.
"What do you mean, above? Polo is there something wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing, just live Abby," He said.
"Nothing is more beautiful once you start living things for real" He followed and smiled,
