001: THE SCAR ON HER FACE

In the morning, by the touch of sun light Abby Jezz woke with an open window. She immediately left the bed and went outside. She brought her coffee-milk, her favorite drink in the morning, as she sat on the balcony. She took a picture on it and she send it to her parents.
"Good morning princess, how was your sleep? -Dad " her step dad replied.
"As always Dad, living here in Surigao is so peaceful and quiet. I always love this place."
"Enjoy your vacation. We love you so much!" a reply from the text message.
Abby Jezz smiled as she read the message. Later, while she was still sipping her coffee-milk, she felt an odd sensation, like someone was watching her from a distance. With her keen eyesight, she scanned the area for any sign of an unknown presence, and just then, she heard someone call her name from behind. A familiar scent wafted through the air, reminding her that she had encountered this person before.
"Abby Jezz.. is that you?"
"Aunti Linda, how are you?" Abby Jezz excited hug her. She's the mother of her best friend,Tagi. But she wondered why something has to be covered on her head, it covered almost half of her face.
"Come, join me in my breakfast" Abby Jezz envited her, she grabbed her arm and gently made her sit down on her seat. Jezz ordered rice with egg and another mug of coffee mixed with carabao milk.
"Still you didn't change, carabao milk is always your favorite" the old woman Linda said.
Jezz just smiled at her and because of her uncomfortable feeling. she didn't hesitate to ask the woman. "Why can't you show me your face?"
The old woman Linda, take a deep breath after surprisingly ask by Abby Jezz. "This is the reason why I came. Can I talk to you in your room, I don't want anyone here to see my ugly face"
Abby Jezz was stunned for a moment, thinking that this old woman has a secret. "Yes of course!"
The two came inside the room and lock the door first.
"I really need to talk to you, and to your parents in person. So that I can tell you the truth. But I thought Tagi might be worried if she saw me and found out that something had happened to me, I didn't want her studies to be affected. So I didn't do it, I didn't tell anyone "
"Aunti Linda.. we are family. You can tell me anything, while I'm here in surigao, maybe I can do something to help you. And I promise, I won't tell my parents about this, specially your daughter." Abby Jezz said, and the old woman nod at her.
The elderly woman, Linda, carefully peeled away the thick cloth that had been draped over her head. With a gentle tug, she slowly unraveled the tight wrapping that concealed her face. Abby Jezz's eyes widened in shock as the large scar on Linda's face came into view. To her surprise, the scar was as large as a claw mark. It looked as if three claws had raked across her face, leaving a deep gash on the right side.
"Who is the merciless person that did this to you?" By asking this, Abby Jezz felt so petty on her.
"The wolves.The family of the man I was with. They were angry with me because I took their granddaughter away from them. My ex-partner did this." Linda cried as she trying to tell the whole story.
"That is so terrible. It's good that you came here. If you want, you can stay here first, Aunty. You are safe here." Abby Jezz said.
"Abby Jezz please don't tell your parents specially Tagi. I'm worried that she might come here if she finds out. I don't want her to know how bad the family she was coming from." Linda pleaded.
"Yes. Aunti. From now on, I'll take care of you."
"Thank you so much Abby Jezz." she said. Then
she put back the cloth to cover the half of her face. After that the two came out from the room and returned to their table at the balcony.
"I'm also grateful that you somehow got away from them safely. Don't worry. I'll get you away from here, if necessary." Jezz told her. Then Linda nod. The ordered food for them to eat is finally arrive. After the breakfast, Jezz let her sleep in her bed.
While Linda is sleeping in her room. Abby Jezz, standing behind the tree, thinking about how she can handle the situation first. In her deep thoughts, What if I met and talk to her ex-partner? so that this will not happen again, like the Southern pack. They have their own Alpha to protect, the one who can lead to settled some issues. But how?
Abby Jezz is so smart but she is so young on this case to help settled the family affairs. If she can't help Linda, this is a stressful thing for her.
"She can't live forever in this kind of nightmare!" Abby Jezz wolf growled, even her wolf agrees on it. As her hand pressed against the trunk of the tree, it transformed—growing hair and sprouting sharp, menacing nails, all fueled by the intensity of her anger. The same way how she felt, witnessing how she being cheated by Alpha Marvin.
"I can smell you're wolf!" Abby Jezz hear it. Then she slowly turned her back.
"You were watching me this early morning. What do you want from me?" Jezz asked.
"Oh, don't you remember me?" The guy smiled and move his steps towards Abby Jezz. He is so delicate and young. He look like, a prince in his black and thick leather suit.
"I don't remember anything from you." Abby Jezz pointed. The guy show his evil smile, but as he came near to her, she can smell the same person like she met before, it was, no other than, it's like Laurence. The human-wolf with a smell of death!
But Abby Jezz already considered that he already died in the accident happened in Candies cave, three weeks ago.
"I've met many wolves, but I don't remember you. Now tell me, what is your business here?" Abby Jezz asked.
"The Pack used to call me "Andrie". I came here, because I'm looking for a woman with a scar in her face. It's a deep scar made by three sharp claws. I found her going into this place. I'm sure you already met her."
Jezz couldn't help but wonder why he was searching for her. Did he actually know Linda? On top of that, if she confessed that she had Linda sleeping in her room, she was genuinely worried that something terrible might happen.
I need to be careful -Abby Jezz remind herself.
"It's been two days since I arrived in this place. I've seen many different faces, with scar. How do I know that she's the one you're looking for. Although, you can sense her. Let me know how can I help you." Abby Jezz said.
"Alright. I'm glad that I met a friendly stranger like you. For that, I want you to treat some drinks, while we discuss" Andrie said. He seemed to be serious.
The two went to a "pick up house" and agreed to have a milk tea each. And sat on the big stone near to it. They were about the same age, so it was just a question of who was smarter.
"So, how did it happen that the woman you were looking for has a scar on her face?" Jezz asked.
"My Uncle wanted her to stay in his place, but this woman is crazy, she run away from him with his daughter. Now time passed, his daughter can never be found. My Uncle believes that his daughter is still alive, his crazy human wife is hiding her." Andrie said.
Abby Jezz thinks that, maybe this is really connected to Linda and her best friend Tagi. But still she wanted to figure out if the story is true, as for now she can't returned to her room.
"Sad story" Abby Jezz said. Then she sip her milk tea.
Andrei frowned. "How can you say that?"
"Like what I read in a novel. The long lost daughter found, but she already dead. She was killed by her owned father, then the father is unaware that the girl he hates is his own daughter."
Andrie laughed. "You like to read a novel? I have many books in my house. If you want, come with me!" Andrie said. But Abby Jezz turned to sip her milk tea.
Abby Jezz had no idea that the milk tea she was drinking was poisoned. This set up had been planned two hours ago. There were three human-wolves in the area, one was the vendor who made the milk tea, while the other two were observers and the fourth was Andrie. That's why Abby Jezz immediately felt dizzy.
"Are you Okay?" Andrie asked her gently.
Abby Jezz couldn't answer. She had already slumped against the rock, and the milk tea she was holding spilled onto the ground as she lost consciousness.
