"Ellie you don't have to do that! He was just asking about my lunch." I exclaimed as I grip on my bag tight. We are now inside our van and school just finished. Ellie glared at me and scoffed.
"Just asking about your lunch?! Just asking?! Angel hindi mo ba naisip na he asked about it dahil he knows about the issue! Alam niya kung ano yung kumakalat na kwento-kwento tungkol sayo and yet, here you are, defending him." She snapped back, my brows furrowed and I lean on my hair rest.
"Baka ikaw lang nag-iisip nun." I mumbled and from my peripheral vision I saw her turn her body at my direction and squinted her eyes.
"Baka ako lang? Oh come on Angel! Ipinagtanggol na nga kita! And yet, you still make it look like ako yung may mali!?" She said, almost shouting, gladly may harang ang driver's seat, and the driver usually play music kaya I'm sure he won't hear us arguing.
"But like what I said, you don't have to do that! You don't have to throw a fist towards Ace and make a scene sa cafeteria." I said, this afternoon, when Ace ask about my lunch. Ellie punched him which cause a scene. Everyone was shock and almost gasp when Ellie throw her fist towards Ace. And after that, she just snatch me out of the cafeteria like nothing happened.
I wonder what happened to Ace. If he got brought to the clinic because I saw some blood on his lips. I wonder if he's treated already cause his bruise might get infected or something.
I hear Ellie take a deep breath, "Angel, listen.." her voice sounds more calm this time.
"He is not JUST asking about your lunch. He's referring about the issue, okay? If he's just asking about it, he wouldn't say that Zek is the one asking about it. He could have just ask if how it is, but he put and involved Zek to his question, so technically, he's not just asking about the damn food." She explained and I sigh before nodding.
"Fine, fine, I get it. Let's stop arguing already." I said and I hear her sigh before leaning at her chair rest.
"I'm not even arguing with you." She said,
"You are kaya. You were almost shouting kanina." I said while pouting a bit.
"I can never argue with you. Maybe just... like what happened a while ago, but I can never be mad at you." She said and I just smiled.
We arrived at the house and mom and dad are not here yet which is good. I'm still wearing Ezekiel's pants and if they are here they will probably start asking question why am I wearing a different pants.
I immediately rush to my room and put down my belongings. I run to my closet and grab a pair of shorts and change to them. I went to my bathroom and open the sink and drench the pants in water.
"Now how do I wash a pants?" I asked myself, I watch as water fill the sink, I rush back to my bedroom and search on how to wash clothes specially pants. It says I should use a detergent or powder.
But I don't want to go downstairs and ask for some. The maids will start asking me too. So I just grab my soap and it to wash the pants which actually turns great! It smells so good and smell just like me!
After that, I did some schoolwork before mom and dad came and call us for dinner. They just ask about our day and mostly I'm the one answering. They don't even bother asking Ellie anymore. But of course I had to remove what Ellie did.
When we finished eating dinner, me and Ellie went to our own rooms and I change for sleepwear. I just read some pages of my book before heading to bed, but not sleep yet.
I'm holding my phone and hesitant to message Ezekiel in the Messenger app. I'm a bit nervous to ask him about Ace but I know Ellie won't apologize, so I will.
to Alaire Ezekiel:
Hey... am I interrupting something?
Right when I hit send, I almost threw the phone out for bed, gladly it just hit my other pillow. I hug my knees as I wait for him to reply. He's online though, so it means he will be able to see or notice it.
Few more seconds and my phone beep making me jolt up. When I pick my phone up, it's a reply from Ezekiel.
from Alaire Ezekiel:
No, I'm doing nothing actually.
When I read his message I was able to sigh in relief. I took deep breath before typing my next message.
to Alaire Ezekiel:
About sa nangyari kanina, I know my sister won't say sorry kay Ace. Kaya ako na ang mag so-sorry para sa kaniya.
He was able to immediately see it and reply.
from Alaire Ezekiel:
Its fine, don't stress about it. Hindi naman galit si Ace. He's more impressed actually. I think it's good that Ellie knock his head para matauhan.
A slight smile appeared on my lips as I read his messaged. He can be talkative din pala kahit sa chat. Or its normal?
to Alaire Ezekiel:
Nadala ba agad siya sa clinic? Is my sister in another trouble kasi nalaman ng nurse ang ginawa niya? How's Ace? Okay lang ba siya? I mean yung sugat niya? Hindi naman lumala diba?
That has what been running through my head the whole remaining day sa school. Since after nun wala nang kumausap sa akin tungkol sa issue. Well not much people really talk to me. But what I mean is that no one look at me the same way as nung pag pasok ko ng cafeteria. Wala na rin ako narinig tungkol kay Ace after that kaya mas lalo akong napa-isip at nag aalala.

He's fine HAHAHAHA, wag mo na isipin yung makong na yun. I guess you should sleep now. I know you're not into staying up late.
When I read his message I am a but confused about it. How come he knows that?
to Alaire Ezekiel:
Where did you get that info?

Basta, just sleep, goodnight Angel! Sweet dreams.
He replied and I pouted before saying a goodnight to him too and turning off the lights.
Everyday that is passing by ay mas papalapit na nang papalapit ang foundation day. The teachers know my part in student council kaya hindi sila nagagalit if ever man na bigla akong ipatawag ni Ezekiel kahit nasa class ako.
Pero hanggang dun lang. What I mean is, hindi pa rin naman ako sumasama sa meetings nila dahil... I feel like there's no need. Pero if Ezekiel needs me to do something for him. That's the time I enter the office.
But since foundation day is getting closer and closer, mas napapadalas na ako sa office nila to the point na nakikilala ko na rin ang ibang officer. Nakakausap at nagiging close na rin kami. Ace is even always here with us too. Maybe he's Ezekiel's assistant din.
"Angel... dalhin mo nga 'to kay Ezekiel sa event hall. Nalimutan niya 'to panigurado." Agad akong napalingon kay Ace na hawak-hawak ang isang box na puno ng cut out cartolina na pang design sa event hall.
"Ah sige, akin na." I said and reach for the box. I was about to turn my back at him when he called me.
"Dalhin mo na rin 'to. Its almost snack time so pakainin mo na si Zek. Kaya naman na namin dito sa office, tulungan mo na rin siya dun." He said as he put 4 pieces of Cheese Cake on the box with 2 bottles of coffee from Starbucks, my lips parted a bit.
"Pero may ginagawa pa ako. I'm still working sa program invitations." I said as I look at the papers I'm working on a while ago. Ace look at it and nod.
"Ako na bahala dyan. Help Zek sa event hall. I know he's just alone working sa decorations sa event hall." He said and my eyes widened.
"Eh? Sige sige, I'll help him." I said and he nods. I went out the office and went directly to the event hall which is a bit far but its fine.
Pag dating ko don ay nakita ko si Ezekiel na nagsasabit ng mga balloons. Ace is right, mag isa nga lang siya dito.
"Ezekiel, I brought these. Pinapadala ni Ace." I said and he turn around before going down the chair he's stepping on.
His brows furrowed, "Ha? Siya pinapagdala ko niyan ah." He said and I shrug.
"I'm gonna help you too." I said but he shake his head.
"No need." He said and I pouted.
"But I want." I said and he sigh before nodding.
"Just... iyang mga dala mo, paki sabit nalang sa dito sa likod ng technicals." He said and I nod. I put down the foods first and start decorating the background of the technical. I'm fine at it at first but when I had to put the decoration at the higher part, I search for an empty chair and use it as a stool while the box is on top of another chair. I reach down to get a decoration when the chair suddenly waggle.
"Ah-
"Careful! Paano kung nahulog ka?!" My eyes widened when I realized I fell on Ezekiel's arm I immediately went down and fix my shirt.
"Sorry, it was an accident." I said and he nod while massaging his temples and sigh.
"Okay okay, be careful next time, okay? I don't want anyone getting injured." He said, I squinted my eyes. His voice sounded tired and stressed.
"Ahm... let's grab a snack first. May dala na rin ako, well pinagdala ako ni Ace." I said and he was about to decline at first but I shake my head and held him by the wrist and drag him to the seats where the foods are placed.
"Here, cheesecake and coffee." I said as I hand him the foods. He smiled and nod before taking a sip of the coffee while I take a bite of the cheesecake.
We are facing each other and silently eating when I suddenly remember of something.
"Oh, yung pants nga pala, sorry di ko pa naibabalik. Nalabhan ko na tsaka tuyo na siya. I'll try to remember it bukas." I said and he look at me and nod.
"Sure, its fine." He said and I frown a bit.
"Ibabalik ko pa rin, its still yours 'no." I said and he chuckled.
My brows furrowed. "Anong nakakatawa?" I ask and he shake his head.
"Wala wala, sige lang. Just don't stress about it. Ibalik mo kung kailan mo gusto." He said and I nod,
"By the way, Angel..." he called and I hum before removing my gaze at my second cheesecake and looking at him.
"Sorry nga pala sa issue that time. Buti nawala agad at hindi na lumala." He said and I nod my head.
"Its fine, wala naman yun sa 'kin." I said and I hear him hum.
I finished my second cheesecake and put the trash to a small box so that it won't go anywhere. I'm drinking my coffee when I noticed Ezekiel's gaze at me.
"Yes?" I ask, his eyes widened and he suddenly looked panicked.
"Wala wala, you want more cheesecake? Busog na ako sa isa." He said offering his other one. I look at it before looking at him.
"Sure ka? That's for you." I said and he chuckled.
"No no, its fine, you can have it." He said and I slowly nod before reaching for the cheesecake.
"How come can you not want this? Ang sarap kaya." I said and I hear him giggle. I took a bite of it and smiled.
I hear him sigh, "I think... let's have some... let's have some foodie date minsan." He said and my eyes snap at him.
"Date?" I confusedly ask,
His eyes widened, "Ah no no, I mean, lets hang out minsan. Parang ang saya mo kasama kumain. Tsaka ang saya mo ka-kwentuhan." He said and I slowly nod.
"Sure, just tell me when. I'll have my sister cover up for me." I said and he nod.
He smiled, "Okay, I'll tell you when."
